Davey Todd is refocusing his efforts for the 2026 road racing season. The Brit will compete in both the North West 200 and the TT in the Supersport category on Triumph machinery. This will also intensify his collaboration with Peter Hickman, with whom he already has a business relationship.
Switch to PHR Performance and Triumph
Todd will race for Peter Hickman Racing’s PHR Performance team in 2026. He will ride the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS in the Supersport class. In addition to the TT, he will also compete in the North West 200 and, for the first time, the Daytona 200 in Florida.
The season kicks off with the Daytona 200 from March 5 to 7, where Todd will make his debut. Peter Hickman is also returning to this traditional event after finishing fourth there in 2025. Since last year, both riders have not only been teammates but also business partners after their former team, FHO Racing, reduced its involvement in racing.
Success at the TT and consistency in the Supersport class
Todd is now one of the established greats at the TT. He achieved his first podium finish as a Superstock rider in 2022. This was followed in 2024 by his first TT victory in the Superstock class, which he underlined with another success in the Senior TT in the same year. In 2025, he also won the first race of the event, the Superbike race.
He has a total of three TT victories to his name. With a personal best time of 135.664 mph, Todd is one of the fastest riders in TT history and ranks fourth in the all-time list. In the Supersport races of the past two years, he has finished exclusively in the top four and collected three podium results.
He also performed strongly in the middleweight category at the North West 200 and is likely to play a key role on the coastal roads again in 2026.
Third brand in three years in the Supersport class
With the switch to the Triumph Street Triple 765, Todd will be using his third brand in the Supersport class within three years. In 2024, he rode a Ducati before switching to Honda in 2025. For 2026, he is now relying on Triumph’s proven 765 platform.
Todd commented on his collaboration with the PHR Performance Triumph Team:
“I’m super excited to be joining the PHR Performance Triumph team for the Daytona 200 and also on the roads. It’ll be my first time at Daytona, not only to watch but also to compete in the event itself; it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years and to be on the Triumph, a winning bike, alongside my good friend Pete is going to be really fun.”
He added:
“I know we can go there, be super competitive and do a good job for Triumph. I’ve already had a few laps on the Street Triple 765 and my initial feeling is that it’s a really good Supersport package. It’s different to what I’ve ridden in the past, but in a good way, and I’m already feeling comfortable.”
Looking ahead to the road races, he added:
“I’ll also be with PHR on the roads, and excited to be continuing with the 765 in the Supersport classes at the NW200 and the Isle of Man TT. We already know that the Street Triple is competitive on the roads from what ‘Hicky’ has done; I have also battled against him, so I know firsthand how strong the bike is.”
Outlook for the 2026 season
With the move to Triumph and the expanded program including the Daytona 200, Todd is facing an intense 2026 season. The combination of proven 765 technology, close collaboration with Peter Hickman, and previous results in the Supersport class creates a clear starting point for the upcoming road races.

As a road racing fan, the main focus of this change is on the sporting constellation. The combination of Davey Todd, who has consistently achieved podium finishes and victories at the TT in recent years, and the proven Triumph Street Triple 765 promises a new balance of power in the Supersport class. What I find particularly exciting is the close collaboration with Peter Hickman, as two proven road racing specialists will be competing on identical equipment. This increases comparability within the team and adds extra sporting excitement to the TT, the North West 200, and the Daytona 200.
