A special exhibit at the Peterson Museum in Los Angeles will feature iconic Hollywood vehicles, including the Moto-Terminator from the movie “Terminator: Salvation.”
Moto-Terminator
One of the exhibited specimens is the Moto-Terminator. This is a really working motorcycle, even if it is probably not so comfortable to sit on it anymore. The basis is the 2009 Ducati Monster 1100 S. Propulsion is provided by a 1,078cc L-twin with 90 hp.
For the film, of course, it was given an extremely futuristic makeover to portray a self-contained vehicle that can function without a driver and go hunting for surviving humans. In the film, however, a Moto-Terminator is also made to crash, hacked, and then briefly used by John Conner as a very traditional means of transportation.
Cult film vehicles
Of course, the exhibit includes much more. The one-wheeled motorcycle from Men in Black, the 1989 Batmobile and Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters are also on exhibit. Of course, the DeLorean from Back to the Future is not to be missed.
Vehicles from movies and television are now a permanent fixture at the Peterson Museum, though the exhibits on show may change.
