Introduction of the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro

First unveiled at EICMA 2022, the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro marks MV Agusta’s return to high-performance four-cylinder superbikes.  This limited edition was officially released in July 2024 and is available for 70,000 euros.  With its striking design and gold-colored details, it is not only a technical marvel, but also a visual highlight.

Technical data and performance

The Superveloce 1000 is powered by a 998cc DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 208 hp (205 hp, 153 kW) at 13,000 rpm and a torque of 116.5 Nm at 11,000 rpm.  This power enables the motorcycle to reach speeds of up to 305 km/h.  The engine features high-quality components such as titanium valves and DLC-coated camshafts, which ensure low-friction and long-lasting performance.

Design and aerodynamics

The design of the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro combines the classic lines of the Superveloce 800 with modern aerodynamic solutions.  The rounded fairing offers excellent wind protection, while the integrated winglets provide the necessary downforce at high speeds.  In total, the fairing consists of 41 carbon components, which are both laminated and press-molded to ensure maximum structural strength and low weight.

High-quality equipment

The suspension of the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro relies on components from Öhlins, including a fully adjustable upside-down fork and a TTX suspension strut, both of which are electronically controlled.  The braking system comes from Brembo and includes front 320 mm disc brakes with radially mounted monobloc callipers and a rear 220 mm disc brake.  The lean angle-optimized ABS system comes from Continental.

Electronics and assistance systems

The electronics of the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro are state of the art and include eight levels of traction control, cornering ABS, wheelie control and various riding modes (Rain, Sport, Race, Custom).  The 5.5-inch TFT display offers an intuitive user interface and integrated GPS functionality as well as the option to connect to the MV Ride app.  Other features include a quickshifter, cruise control and anti-theft protection with GPS tracking.

Exclusivity and accessories

Each of the 500 examples of the Superveloce 1000 Series Oro comes with a laser-engraved badge and a special kit box containing a pillion seat, footrests, protective covers and a certificate of authenticity, among other things.  These details underline the exclusive character of this model and make it a coveted collector’s item.

Conclusion

The MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Series Oro is more than just a motorcycle; it is a work of art on two wheels that impresses with both its technical brilliance and its unmistakable design.  With its limited edition and high price, it will certainly be more likely to be found in collections than on the road, but for those lucky enough to ride it, it offers an unrivaled combination of performance and elegance.
