Versatile functions in one device
The Chigee AIO 5-Lite is designed to remain permanently installed on the motorcycle. Among other things, it can offer navigation via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, automatic dashcam recording with front and rear camera, parking monitoring, tire pressure and temperature display (optional) as well as call and media controls. It is also possible to mirror your own smartphone display without having to rely exclusively on this function.
Basic information such as a GPS-supported speed display or sunrise and sunset times can also be shown on the 5-inch display. In addition, a blind spot warning is supported if required in order to recognize critical traffic situations. Networking with an intercom system allows acoustic signals, navigation announcements or music to be transmitted directly to the ear.
Fixed installation on the motorcycle
The AIO 5-Lite is designed to remain permanently on the motorcycle. This means that cables for the front and rear camera, GPS module and display must be laid and connected to the on-board electrical system. Although the plugs are clearly marked and the connection itself is simple, the inconspicuous laying of the cables can be somewhat more complex depending on the type of motorcycle and your own requirements. On naked bikes, the space for hiding cables is limited, while on fully clad models, fairing parts or even the tank may have to be removed for routing.
Scope of delivery and costs
In addition to the display, the front and rear cameras, the GPS module, brackets for tubular handlebars in various diameters and all necessary cables are included. There are optional accessories for other mounting types.
The price is around 565 euros. By comparison, a pure smartphone mount or a classic navigation system may be cheaper, but they do not offer the extensive range of functions and convenience of this solution.
Dashcam recordings and storage options
As soon as the ignition is activated, the AIO 5-Lite automatically starts recording both cameras. Settings such as the length of the video clips (1, 2 or 3 minutes) can be adjusted, GPS data, date, time or speed can be displayed and sound recordings can be added. If the memory is full, the newer clips overwrite the older ones. This is intended to enable safe, continuous and legally compliant documentation of the journey.
The video data is stored on an internal 32 GB memory, which can be expanded to up to 256 GB with a memory card. A USB port enables data transfer, but is somewhat awkward to access due to the fixed installation. Alternatively, the files can be downloaded via an app using 5G Wi-Fi.
Legally compliant recording and emergency functions
In the event of an accident or bump, for example, the system marks the affected clips as protected so that they are not overwritten. These recordings can later be used to clarify the circumstances of an accident or other incidents. A monitoring function can even be activated when parking: If the system registers a vibration while parking, it starts a recording after a short start-up time to capture possible incidents.
Waterproof and robust design
Both the display and the cameras comply with protection class IP67. They should therefore be protected against the ingress of dust and water. The system is designed for temperatures of around minus 20 to plus 65 degrees Celsius and is easy to read even in direct sunlight thanks to its brightness of over 1000 nits. Not only touch functions are available for operation, but also physical buttons for quick access to important functions.
Optional features and accessories
In addition to the standard functions, the Chigee AIO 5-Lite can also be expanded with additional components, such as a tire pressure monitor. Valve cap sensors transmit values directly to the display. Chigee also offers other accessories, such as wireless cell phone holders with inductive charging function or USB sockets.
A version without dashcams is also available. This makes it possible to create a customized system from various components, depending on requirements.
