Technical inspection not completed
As the organizer ACU Events Ltd announced in an official statement on 7 June 2025, Michael Evans’ team was unable to provide the bike in time for the prescribed technical inspection.
After the first Supertwin race on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, initial checks were carried out by the Technical Director and other race officials. The bike’s engine was sealed in order to carry out a further investigation after the second Supertwin race on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Missing engine leads to disqualification
This investigation should have included a full technical inspection following Supertwin TT Race 2. However, Dafabet Racing was unable to present the machine for inspection within the prescribed timeframe. Due to this infringement, Michael Evans was retroactively removed from the classification of the first race.
New race results to be published
According to the organizers, the revised race results of the Supertwin TT Race 1 will be published shortly. It remains to be seen what impact the disqualification will have on the overall result and potential podium positions.
