Lighter, more powerful, sportier: the new generation of slip-ons
According to the trade press, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is considered a particularly well-balanced overall package with impressive chassis and a further revised three-cylinder engine. SC-Project picks up on this and offers two slip-on systems that can be installed without interfering with the engine control unit. According to the manufacturer, remapping is not necessary.
Both rear silencers were developed and manufactured entirely in Italy. High-quality materials such as titanium and carbon fiber, combined with precise workmanship and a sporty design, characterize the two new products. A carbon fiber heat shield is included in the scope of delivery.
The Twin CR-T: titanium look and maximum weight savings
According to SC-Project, the Twin CR-T is over 45 percent lighter than the standard exhaust on the Speed Triple 1200 RS. The housing is available in either titanium or carbon fiber. A striking feature is the exclusive titanium honeycomb mesh on the two tailpipes, which is reminiscent of racing and gives the rear end an aggressive look.
The SC1-R GT: Asymmetrical design and moderate tuning
The SC1-R GT is slightly less radical, but still significantly lighter than the original. With a weight saving of around 30 percent, it is also a performance-oriented alternative to the standard system. The outlet of the SC1-R GT was manufactured using a hydroforming process and designed asymmetrically, resulting in a striking design. Here, too, you can choose between a titanium or carbon fiber outer shell.
Prices and availability
The new slip-on mufflers from SC-Project will be available from October 2025. The recommended retail prices in Europe are:
- Twin CR-T: €980 / approx. $1,050
- SC1-R GT: €780 / approx. $835
In Switzerland, the prices are:
- Twin CR-T: CHF 1320 / approx. $1,360
- SC1-R GT: CHF 1050 / approx. $1,080
The prices apply regardless of whether the carbon or titanium version is chosen.
