Bol d’Or 24h – EWC Finale – 2026

Bol d’Or 2026 – The Season Finale of the Endurance World Championship
From September 17 to 20, 2026, the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet hosts the world’s most prestigious 24-hour motorcycle race: the Bol d’Or. As the fourth and final round of the 2026 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), this race decides the world title in endurance racing – a season finale that promises unmatched drama and intensity.
History and Significance
First held in 1922 at the Saint-Germain-en-Laye circuit, the Bol d’Or is one of the oldest motorsport events in history. Since 1978, the race has been held at Circuit Paul Ricard, where it has established itself as one of the absolute highlights of international motorcycle racing. For 24 hours, three-rider teams of factory professionals and privateers push the latest generation superbikes to their limits – the ultimate test of man and machine.
The Circuit
Circuit Paul Ricard is nestled in the Provençal landscape near Le Castellet, in the hinterland of the Côte d’Azur. The 5.842-kilometre track is world-famous for its distinctive blue and red runoff zones and offers ideal conditions for endurance racing with 15 corners, long straights and demanding braking points. The modern floodlight system enables spectacular night racing, which gives the Bol d’Or its unique character.
2026 EWC Season – The Decider
The 2026 FIM Endurance World Championship comprises four rounds: the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans (April), the 8 Hours of Spa at Spa-Francorchamps (June), the legendary Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan (July), and the Bol d’Or as the grand finale. Factory teams from Yamaha, BMW, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Ducati battle fiercely throughout the season – and at the Bol d’Or, the final decisions are made.
Format and Schedule
The race weekend spans four days:
- Thursday, September 17: Administrative checks, technical scrutineering, first free practice sessions
- Friday, September 18: Free practice, qualifying sessions, night practice
- Saturday, September 19: Race start at 3:00 PM (local time)
