The largest motorcycle show in the Kansai region

The Osaka Motorcycle Show ranks among Japan’s most important motorcycle events and forms a trio with the Tokyo Motorcycle Show and the Nagoya Motorcycle Show as the country’s premier two-wheeled exhibitions. In 2026, the 42nd edition takes place from March 20 to 22 at INTEX Osaka, the international exhibition center in the Suminoe-ku district. For manufacturers, suppliers and enthusiasts alike, the show is a firmly established date on the industry calendar.

Exhibitors and new models

Around 130 companies and organizations typically exhibit at the Osaka Motorcycle Show. These include the four major Japanese manufacturers Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki, who serve as principal sponsors and regularly unveil new models and concept studies. International brands, aftermarket parts suppliers, riding gear companies, dealers and tourism organizations round out the lineup. The exhibition space spans halls 1 and 2 plus a dedicated outdoor area totaling approximately 14,600 square meters.

The 2026 edition promises to be particularly exciting: Bimota timed the unveiling of the new KB 399, based on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR, just days before the show opens. Honda is bringing its “Next Stage” lineup including the electric WN7 prototype, the V3R 900 E-Compressor concept and the new CB1000F. Suzuki is staging its booth under the “SUZUKI FAN’S GARAGE” theme with an interactive workshop atmosphere where visitors can touch and sit on the latest models.

Supporting program and special activities

Beyond the exhibition booths, the Osaka Motorcycle Show offers an extensive stage program featuring industry talks, panel discussions and safety initiatives. Test rides on a purpose-built course are part of the program, as are meet-and-greet events with racing drivers and industry personalities. The offering deliberately caters to motorcyclists of all experience levels.

For 2026, the show features a first-time collaboration with the popular smartphone game Monster Strike, including a specially designed key visual, limited-edition collectibles and a quiz rally through the exhibition halls. U22 discounts and special pair tickets are also available to specifically attract younger visitors.

The 400cc class and Japanese motorcycle culture

The Osaka show has traditionally held special significance for the 400cc displacement class, which has enjoyed a unique status in Japan for decades. The Japanese licensing system distinguishes between different displacement categories, with 400cc machines accessible through the standard motorcycle license. This has made 400cc motorcycles far more popular in Japan than in Europe, prompting many manufacturers to develop specifically for this market segment.

Admission and tickets

Standard day passes cost 2,400 yen in advance and 2,800 yen at the door. Visitors aged 18 to 22 receive a U22 discount at 2,000 yen, with an additional pair option for 3,200 yen for two. Students and young people under 18 receive free admission upon presentation of a student ID.

Opening hours and access

The Osaka Motorcycle Show 2026 is open from 10:00 to 17:00 on all three days. The first day, March 20, is a national holiday in Japan (Vernal Equinox Day), which typically results in high attendance figures. INTEX Osaka is about a ten-minute walk from Cosmosquare Station on the Chuo Metro Line.
