- Power: 190.3 hp / 140 kW at 10,000 rpm
- Torque: 145 Nm / 106 lb-ft at 8,000 rpm
- Weight: 202 kg / 445 lbs fully fueled (8 kg less than the standard model)
As things stand, approval was granted at the same time as documentation for the Brabus 1400 R. This suggests that the presentation was originally planned for EICMA, although the schedule is thought to have been pushed back slightly according to current estimates.
Weight reduction and equipment
The new 1390 Super Duke RR is conceptually based on the limited RR versions of the 1290 series. According to the documentation, the weight is reduced by 8 kg compared to the regular 1390 Super Duke R, which weighs 212 kg or 467 lbs when fully fueled. The RR thus weighs 202 kg or 445 lbs.
This weight reduction has been achieved through several measures. A titanium rear silencer from Akrapovic, which is otherwise available as an accessory, is included as standard equipment. The unit is street legal and is not intended to increase performance, but to save weight. Further reductions are to be achieved through the increased use of carbon parts and a lithium-ion battery.
Engine remains unchanged
The performance data is identical to that of the 1390 Super Duke R. The V2 continues to deliver 190.3 hp or 140 kW at 10,000 rpm and a torque of 145 Nm or 106 lb-ft at 8,000 rpm. According to the documents, no changes to the engine tuning are planned.
Ergonomics and dimensions slightly adjusted
The approved dimensions indicate further special features. The handlebars are 17 mm wider than on the standard model. This change is either due to a different design or to mounted lever guards, as featured on the earlier 1290 Super Duke RR.
The overall height also increases by 13 mm. This could indicate an additional cover in the cockpit area. The overall length increases by 2 mm, which corresponds exactly to the length of the Brabus 1400 R. This suggests shared components, possibly the carbon solo seat that was already used on the Brabus model.
Expected brake and chassis components
Given the orientation, a high-quality chassis similar to the Apex Pro elements of the previous RR can be expected once again. A brake system with Hypure calipers from Brembo would also be conceivable, as these components are already used in the Brabus 1400 R. However, this has not been officially confirmed and should be considered an obvious but unconfirmed assumption.
Schedule and market launch
The originally expected presentation date at EICMA 2025 had to be postponed due to the well-known production and financial problems. The market launch was apparently planned for early 2026. According to the current status, this schedule is now expected to be delayed by several months, without a new official date having been communicated.
