Marc Marquez had to undergo a third surgery in which a bone graft was performed. This was to speed up the slow healing process of his upper arm fracture.
Samples were also taken during the surgery, which showed that there was an infection in the fracture beforehand. To combat this, the multiple world champion must be treated with special antibiotics.
After being treated in the hospital for a good week, he was now allowed to leave it. The team of doctors treating him is satisfied with the progress. Marquez must now continue the antibiotic therapy at home.
