Improved chassis components for tough off-road use
The Himalayan 450 Rally Raid is aimed at riders who demand the very best in off-road performance. One of the most important technical innovations is a fully adjustable chassis, which is to be equipped with reinforced fork tubes. This measure promises greater stability and control in demanding terrain. In addition, the motorcycle is expected to come with a special rally seat, rally-style rear fairings, and standard hand guards.
Lower weight and tubeless wheels
According to available information, Royal Enfield is aiming to reduce the weight of the Rally Raid variant compared to the standard model. Among other things, this is to be achieved by using a smaller fuel tank and lighter body parts. It is also planned to use tubeless spoked wheels as standard.
Engine performance: Possible increase in power
A slight increase in power is also expected for the drive. The single-cylinder engine of the Himalayan 450 Rally Raid is expected to offer slightly more power to meet the special requirements of rally use. Exact performance data is expected to be announced during the official presentation.
Visual distinguishing features and standard equipment
In terms of design, the Rally Raid is expected to stand out visually from the standard Himalayan. This includes new color options and special graphics. Overall, however, the basic design will remain largely unchanged. The rally kit, consisting of various protective and functional add-on parts, is expected to be included as standard equipment.
Price and market launch
All technical and visual upgrades will be reflected in the price. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Raid is expected to cost around 50,000 to 60,000 Indian rupees (approximately $610 to $740) more than the base version. The premiere will take place at EICMA 2025. The model will then be presented for the first time on the Indian market at Motoverse 2025. The exact date of the market launch has not yet been officially confirmed.
