Zontes 703V – Power Cruiser with three-cylinder presented

Zontes remains active and is expanding its own model range with another motorcycle.  After the recently presented 368G adventure scooter, the 703F dual-purpose bike and the 703RR sports bike, the 703V – a power cruiser with a three-cylinder engine – is now following.

New member of the 703 family

With the 703V, Zontes is launching the fourth model in the 703 series.  The brand had previously presented the 703R as a naked bike.  The model designation “703” refers directly to the engine, which has a displacement of 699cc and is equipped with three cylinders.  The power output varies depending on the set-up: in the 703F, the engine delivers 76 hp (56 kW), while the 703RR achieves 100 hp (74 kW).  The 703V is to receive the more powerful variant with 100 hp (74 kW).  The maximum torque is specified as 85.4 Nm.

Brake system with a choice

When it comes to brakes, Zontes is apparently relying on familiar names for the 703V.  At the front, the power cruiser prototype is equipped with Brembo brake callipers.  However, according to the manufacturer, importers are given the choice of fitting the models with Brembo or J.Juan calipers.  Interesting fact: J.Juan now belongs to Brembo, which means that the brake systems come from the same group in any case.

Currently still a prototype – start of production open

The Zontes 703V is currently still in the prototype stage.  It has not yet been communicated when exactly the series version will follow.  However, it is clear that Zontes – as with the other models in the 703 series – is likely to rely on extensive equipment.  The exact details remain to be seen.

Technical data (as far as known)

  • Engine 699cc three-cylinder, DOHC
  • Output 100 hp / 74 kW
  • Torque 85.4 Nm
  • Front brakes Brembo or J.Juan brake calipers
