NEW MOTORCYCLES
Brabus and KTM are about to unveil the new Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition, which is expected to make its debut at EICMA in Milan from November 6 to 9. The latest generation of jointly developed power naked bikes is set to replace the previous top model, the Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition. Initial prototype images and technical information already point to comprehensive further development.
With the Himalayan 450 Rally Raid, Royal Enfield plans to introduce an even more off-road capable version of its well-known Adventure series. The motorcycle is set to be unveiled on November 4, 2025, at EICMA. Even before the official premiere, the first details about the features and technology have been leaked.
QJMOTOR is using EICMA 2025 to unveil five new motorcycles in different segments. In October 2025, motorcycle noise in the Danube Valley was once again the focus of political attention: the Petitions Committee of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament dealt with a petition calling for a ban on combustion engine motorcycles on State Road 277 between Fridingen an der Donau and Sigmaringen on Sundays and public holidays, as well as the targeted promotion of electric motorcycles. According to the petitioners, the aim was to reduce noise pollution for the local population and those seeking relaxation. However, I do not know exactly who submitted the petition, what demands it contained in detail, or how many people supported the cause, as I have not yet been able to find the petition.
By lowering the minimum age for 125cc motorcycles to 16 in 2021, Switzerland adopted an EU regulation. Since then, the number of serious accidents involving young motorcyclists has risen significantly. According to the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (BFU), the number of serious accidents involving 16- and 17-year-olds has almost tripled. Last year, 156 young people between the ages of 15 and 17 were seriously injured in motorcycle accidents, six of whom died. The average number of seriously injured young people in the four years prior to the change in the law was significantly lower, as confirmed by the BFU. The advisory center had spoken out against lowering the age limit in advance and sees its fears confirmed by current developments.
MOTORSPORT
Nicolò Bulega will join the Ducati Lenovo Team for the last two races of the 2025 MotoGP season. The Superbike World Championship runner-up will take over Marc Márquez's bike and make his debut in the premier class at the Portuguese Grand Prix (November 7-9, 2025) and the season finale in Valencia. Bulega has already gained some initial experience with the Desmosedici GP during a test in Jerez de la Frontera.
Following the serious accident involving Swiss Moto3 rider Noah Dettwiler in Sepang, there are initial positive developments regarding his health. Just five days after the dramatic collision with Jose Antonio Rueda, Dettwiler was able to leave the intensive care unit at the hospital in Kuala Lumpur and be transferred to a private clinic.
After days of great concern, there is finally some positive news regarding the health of Swiss Moto3 rider Noah Dettwiler. Three days after his serious accident at the Sepang International Circuit, it has been officially confirmed that Dettwiler is no longer in critical condition and his condition has stabilized. The CIP Green Power Team, his family, and management issued a joint statement: “According to the doctors, Noah's condition is now stable and no longer critical. He will continue to be closely monitored in the intensive care unit.”
At the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang, a serious accident occurred on race Sunday before the start of the Moto3 race, clearly highlighting the dark side of motorsport. During the warm-up lap, Spanish rider and reigning Moto3 world champion Jose Antonio Rueda collided at high speed with Swiss rider Noah Dettwiler, who was apparently traveling slowly at the edge of the track due to a technical problem. According to media reports, there had already been problems with the chain on Dettwiler's motorcycle on Saturday. The speed of the impact was considerable, and both riders were thrown from their machines.
Alex Marquez scored an impressive victory at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Spanish Ducati rider (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) prevailed in the 20th MotoGP race of the season ahead of Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Joan Mir (Honda HRC Castrol). For Marquez, it is his third Grand Prix victory of the season and his first outside Spain. He also secured the runner-up title in the world championship on Saturday.
Marc Márquez will not be able to participate in the last two races of the 2025 MotoGP season. As confirmed by a medical examination at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, the Spaniard's recovery from a coracoid fracture and ligament injury is progressing normally, but he will still be unable to compete this year.

According to its own statements, 24M, a US company based in Massachusetts, has developed innovative battery technology that has the potential to fundamentally change electric mobility. The technology promises not only a significantly higher range of up to 1,000 miles (approx. 1,609 km), but also lower costs, increased safety, and flexible applications—including for electric motorcycles.

The manufacturer is thus demonstrating its strategy of offering both traditional sports motorcycles and modern solutions for sustainable mobility.
Just under ten years after entering MotoGP, KTM has taken another significant step in its motorsport history. The new 850cc engine concept for the 2027 season was tested on the test bench for the first time in Mattighofen, Austria. The reason for this is the upcoming technical regulations that will apply in the premier class from 2027.
Yamaha has filed a patent that addresses a well-known problem with electric motorcycles: many motorcyclists find the switch to electric drive less exciting because they miss the typical engine noise and vibrations of a combustion engine.
