Ultraviolette presents innovations at EICMA 2025: X-47 with radar, new models, and carbon fiber helmet with connectivity

At EICMA 2025 in Milan, Ultraviolette provided comprehensive insight into its future direction and expanded product portfolio. In addition to electric motorcycles and scooters, the world’s first production motorcycle with integrated radar technology was unveiled. The company also presented the UVCrossfade, a connected carbon fiber helmet that aims to take rider safety and connectivity to a new level.

New standards for rider safety: X-47 crossover with integrated radar

The X-47 model presented at the trade fair is set to be the first production motorcycle to feature integrated 77 GHz long-range radar with a range of 200 meters. This system enables functions such as blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtaking warnings, and rear collision warnings. According to Ultraviolette, this will significantly increase safety and situational awareness while riding.

The X-47 electric crossover is based on a modular vehicle architecture and was developed for use in urban environments as well as off-road. The model is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery and delivers a peak power output of 40.2 hp (30 kW) with a maximum torque of 100 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 145 km/h. The chassis includes a 41 mm upside-down fork and a monoshock, both with adjustable preload, as well as 200 mm of ground clearance. The braking system is from Brembo and consists of a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 230 mm disc brake at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with 10th generation Bosch ABS (2-channel) and three-stage traction control.

Another highlight is the special radar system, which is adapted to the dynamics of two-wheelers, detects tilt angles of up to 20 degrees, and compensates for roll and pitch movements. Core functions include blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtaking warning, and rear collision warning, each with visual alerts via the UV HyperSense mirrors and automatic activation of the hazard warning lights in an emergency.

Integrated dashcam for greater transparency

The X-47 is equipped with an integrated dashcam that features front and rear cameras and a 5-inch touchscreen display. The cameras offer Full HD resolution (1080p, 30 fps, HDR, 120° wide angle), and the internal memory of 32 GB can be expanded to 256 GB. Continuous loop recording and an emergency system for automatically saving important recordings increase safety. The system is IP67 certified and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microphone, and a mechanical anti-theft device.

Charging and luggage solutions: Focus on practicality

Ultraviolette has integrated a particularly powerful, air-cooled on-board charger into the X-47, which is designed for charging with alternating current. It offers comprehensive safety features such as surge protection, grounding, and filters against electromagnetic interference. Full charging power is maintained even at ambient temperatures of up to 50°C.

For luggage transport, there is a choice of 30-liter soft luggage bags or 32-liter hard-shell cases, as well as a top case pre-installation.

Other new features: Tesseract, Shockwave, and F99

The Tesseract model is equipped with a fully integrated radar and dashcam system. Omnisense mirrors, a 7-inch TFT display, and colored LED indicators provide the rider with information on blind spot detection, lane change and overtaking assistance, and real-time collision warnings. 14-inch wheels, improved aerodynamics, and 34 liters of storage space under the seat round out the concept.

With the Shockwave, Ultraviolette aims to offer riders a dynamic lightweight motorcycle that, according to the manufacturer, is reminiscent of the riding experience of classic two-stroke models. The rear wheel torque is an impressive 505 Nm, and acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h takes 2.9 seconds. 19-inch spoked wheels at the front and 17-inch spoked wheels at the rear underline the sporty character.

The F99 is the focus of the future strategy as an electric racing platform. With a carbon exoskeleton, liquid-cooled drive, 400-volt battery architecture, and cutting-edge technologies developed entirely in India, the F99 is set to set new standards in the electric sports bike segment. It accelerates to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds and to 124 mph in under 10 seconds. It is said to cover the quarter mile in 10.712 seconds, with a top speed of 158 mph according to the manufacturer.

Connected Rider Ecosystem and connected helmet

In collaboration with Cardo Systems, Ultraviolette is launching the “Connected Rider Ecosystem.” This will allow driver assistance systems such as blind spot detection, status alerts, and other safety features to be connected directly to the helmet in the future. The first product in this ecosystem to be unveiled is the UVCrossfade – a helmet with a carbon fiber outer shell (1,380 g ± 50 g or approx. 3.04 lbs), fiberglass inner layers, and ECE 22.06 certification. The helmet can communicate with the motorcycle via the Cardo device and receive safety and status messages in real time. Dynamic Alert Sequencing (D.A.S) evaluates incoming alerts and forwards them to the Cardo system in order of priority.

Market launch and distribution partners in Europe

The F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet models are currently available in twelve European countries. Distribution is handled in partnership with Zero Center Italia S.R.L. (Italy), Rhino Electric Motors S.L. (Spain and Portugal), Zero Center AG (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), MotoMondo UK Ltd. (United Kingdom), MotoMondo BV (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland), and Pink Mobility (France).
