In 2026, Beta clearly demonstrates that the traditional Italian brand is continuing to consistently develop its motocross and enduro models. Beta is kicking off the new motocross season with new RX 250 and RX 350 two-stroke models and a revamped RX 450, while the popular XTrainer in the enduro segment is getting a comprehensive update.

Beta RX series: New 2-stroke models and revamped RX 450 for MX use

In the highly competitive motocross segment, Beta is focusing on fresh technology and model diversity for the 2026 model year. In addition to the already familiar RX 450 four-stroke, the brand-new RX 250 and RX 350 two-strokes are now joining the RX family. The Italians are thus making it clear that they want to establish themselves in motocross in the long term.

The RX 250 is a completely newly developed motorcycle with a modern two-stroke engine, which, according to the manufacturer, has been designed for particularly fast throttle response, high revving, and the aggressiveness required for MX racing. With the RX 250, Beta wants to score points above all in the popular and highly competitive 250cc class. Despite its performance-oriented design, the engine is said to offer the familiar, easily controllable power delivery. The exact performance data has not yet been released.

The new RX 350 replaces the previous RX 300 model and positions itself as a link between the established 250 and 450 motocross bikes. With its rich torque and powerful two-stroke character, the RX 350 is designed to appeal to riders who are looking for power and torque without having to deal with a classic 450cc four-stroke.

The RX 450 four-stroke, which continues to occupy the top position in Beta’s motocross range, will undergo several technical revisions for 2026. In addition to a redesigned cylinder head and intake, a new balance shaft mechanism has been integrated to reduce vibrations. According to Beta, the mapping and traction control have also been specifically optimized. In addition, the exhaust system has been redesigned so that the motorcycle retains its characteristics despite a reduced noise level.

All RX models share a modern chassis with high-quality components, including adjustable suspension elements, powerful brakes, and a contemporary design. The developers emphasize that despite their MX focus, the motorcycles remain easy to control and are therefore less tiring on long race tracks.

Delivery of the RX series for the 2026 model year is scheduled to begin in September 2025. Beta has not yet released any pricing information.

XTrainer 2026: Revamp for the popular entry-level enduro

In addition to the MX innovations, Beta is also focusing on its long-running enduro model: the XTrainer is receiving numerous updates for the 2026 model year to make life even easier for newcomers and advanced enduro riders.

A key feature of the new XTrainer generation is the redesigned engine housing, which now accommodates larger main bearings. The gearshift, which was first introduced in the RR X-Pro, ensures a better connection, especially between second and third gear, and is designed to make the riding experience more harmonious.

Despite technical revisions, the weight of the XTrainer remains unchanged at 99 kg (approx. 218 lbs). The seat height has been lowered by 20 mm and is now 910 mm. The tank capacity remains 8.8 liters. The ground clearance is specified as 320 mm, and the footrests are at a height of 390 mm.

Other new features include a modern LED taillight, a redesigned, easier-to-read display, and more robust plastic parts with new graphics and white accents. The brake system is from Nissin: two 260 mm discs are used at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The suspension consists of a fully adjustable 43 mm R16V fork at the front and a progressive linkage at the rear. The XTrainer continues to feature a lightweight lithium battery.

With these adjustments, the XTrainer remains an attractive option for riders looking to get started in enduro racing but who still value high-quality technology.

Conclusion: Beta continues to expand its position

With the expansion of the RX series and the targeted redesign of the XTrainer, Beta 2026 offers a broad model portfolio for motocross and enduro riders. The Italian manufacturer focuses on modern technology, well-thought-out details, and targeted improvements without losing sight of its traditional strengths—rideability and balance.

The season finale in Valencia provided a clear picture at the top. Marco Bezzecchi controlled the Grand Prix from the first to the last lap and, together with Raul Fernandez, secured a historic success. For the first time, Aprilia managed to win two MotoGP races in a row. While Bezzecchi secured his start-to-finish victory, Fernandez closed in towards the end but was unable to make a decisive move.
