- Electronic quickshifter standard for clutchless upshifting and downshifting
- Brake pads with higher friction coefficient on the front brake
- Available from April 2026 at dealers, price: 7,550 euros (approximately 8,115 USD)
The Aprilia RS 457 has established itself as a fixture in the fully-faired A2 sport motorcycle segment since its debut in 2023. Both in Italy and Germany, the compact parallel-twin ranks among the most popular motorcycles for owners of A2-class licenses. In Germany, the RS 457 even claimed the top spot as the best-selling A2 sport motorcycle. For the 2026 model year, Aprilia launches the GP Replica special edition, which was first shown at EICMA 2025 in Milan and will be available at dealers from April 2026.

MotoGP Livery in the Style of Bezzecchi and Martín
The most striking feature of the GP Replica is its paint job. Aprilia takes inspiration from the RS-GP, the brand’s prototype in the MotoGP World Championship. The color scheme combines gloss and matte black tones and incorporates sponsor graphics as seen on the race bikes of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín. The look is completed by a solo seat cover, which gives the GP Replica a pure single-seater appearance. The frame, swingarm, and fork bridge are finished in black and emphasize the sporty overall impression. Aprilia itself describes the special edition as a tribute to the MotoGP prototypes of the factory team.
Quickshifter and Better Brakes Standard
Beyond aesthetics, Aprilia has also boosted functionality. The GP Replica comes standard with an electronic quickshifter that allows for clutchless upshifting and downshifting. In the standard version of the RS 457, this feature is only available as an option. Additionally, the front brake features brake pads with higher friction coefficient to provide improved braking performance. Adjustable brake and clutch levers are also standard on the GP Replica, allowing customization to different hand sizes.

Proven Parallel-Twin with 47 PS
The technical foundation of the GP Replica remains unchanged. The power comes from the familiar liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with 457cc displacement, a bore of 69mm and a stroke of 61.1mm. Two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder handle fuel mixture preparation. Power output is 47 PS (35 kW) at 9,400 rpm—exactly at the regulatory upper limit for the A2 class. Maximum torque is 43 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Power is transmitted through a six-speed gearbox, with an anti-hopping clutch included as standard. Engine management uses ride-by-wire technology.
Aluminum Frame and Adjustable Suspension
The chassis is based on an aluminum twin-spar frame, which according to Aprilia is derived from the brand’s supersport lineup. At the front, an upside-down fork with 41mm stanchion diameter and adjustable spring preload provides 120mm of travel. At the rear, a monoshock with similarly adjustable spring preload and 130mm of travel completes the package. Both 17-inch wheels are cast six-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.
The braking system comes from ByBre. A 320mm floating disc with a four-piston radial caliper handles stopping power at the front, while a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper works at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard equipment.

Electronics at Supersport Level
For an entry-level model, the RS 457 offers a comprehensive electronics package. Three riding modes are available, along with multi-stage, adjustable and deactivatable traction control. Information is displayed on a 5-inch TFT color display, with backlit handlebar controls. Lighting is entirely LED-based, with the headlight incorporating the brand’s current design language.
Weight and Dimensions
Aprilia lists the RS 457 dry weight as 159 kg (351 lbs), with a ready-to-ride weight of approximately 175 kg (386 lbs). Seat height is approximately 800mm, and the fuel tank holds 12.9 liters.
