The look is completed by a solo seat cover, which gives the GP Replica a pure single-seater appearance. The frame, swingarm, and fork bridge are finished in black and emphasize the sporty overall impression. Maximum torque is 43 Nm at 6,700 rpm. Power is transmitted through a six-speed gearbox, with an anti-hopping clutch included as standard. Engine management uses ride-by-wire technology.
Aluminum Frame and Adjustable Suspension
The chassis is based on an aluminum twin-spar frame, which according to Aprilia is derived from the brand’s supersport lineup. At the front, an upside-down fork with 41mm stanchion diameter and adjustable spring preload provides 120mm of travel. At the rear, a monoshock with similarly adjustable spring preload and 130mm of travel completes the package. Both 17-inch wheels are cast six-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.
The braking system comes from ByBre. A 320mm floating disc with a four-piston radial caliper handles stopping power at the front, while a 220mm disc with a single-piston caliper works at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is standard equipment.
Electronics at Supersport Level
For an entry-level model, the RS 457 offers a comprehensive electronics package. Three riding modes are available, along with multi-stage, adjustable and deactivatable traction control. Information is displayed on a 5-inch TFT color display, with backlit handlebar controls. Lighting is entirely LED-based, with the headlight incorporating the brand’s current design language.
