Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 2026: Range, Power, Price

Royal Enfield has released the complete specifications of the Flying Flea C6. The brand first electric motorcycle launches in India on April 10 with a 3.91 kWh battery claiming 154 kilometers of range.
  • 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery with air-cooled magnesium housing
  • 15.4 kW peak power (approximately 21 hp) and 60 Nm of torque
  • 124 kg curb weight, five riding modes, and lean-sensitive ABS

After more than eighteen months since its premiere at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Royal Enfield released the complete specifications of the Flying Flea C6 on April 7, 2026. The motorcycle is scheduled to officially launch in India on April 10, with exports to additional countries to follow. For Royal Enfield, this marks a historic step: in 125 years of company history, the manufacturer has never offered a production model with electric propulsion. Serial production is already underway at the Chennai factory.

Powertrain and Battery of the Flying Flea C6

At the heart of the Flying Flea C6 is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with an integrated motor controller and air cooling. Peak power is 15.4 kW, equivalent to approximately 21 hp. Maximum torque is 60 Nm. Power reaches the rear wheel via a belt drive, intended to enable low-maintenance operation. This allows the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 115 km/h. In terms of performance, Royal Enfield positions the Flying Flea C6 at the level of a 125cc to 150cc combustion engine motorcycle.

The lithium-ion battery holds 3.91 kWh and sits in an air-cooled magnesium housing with cooling fins. Charging is handled via an integrated onboard charger with configurable charging power between 500 and 2,200 watts. Charging from 20 to 80 percent takes approximately 60 to 65 minutes, while a full charge under optimal conditions at 25 degrees Celsius takes about 2 hours and 16 minutes.

154 Kilometers of Range: A Very Optimistic Figure

Royal Enfield quotes an IDC range of 154 kilometers for the Flying Flea C6. The IDC test cycle (Indian Driving Cycle) is based on standardized, idealized driving conditions with low speeds and minimal acceleration. In practice, the real-world figures are likely to be considerably lower.

Mathematically, 3.91 kWh over 154 kilometers yields a consumption of approximately 25 Wh per kilometer. This would be one of the lowest figures ever measured on an electric two-wheeler, making the Flying Flea C6 more efficient than many pedal-assist e-bikes. Under realistic urban conditions in mixed riding mode, Indian media estimate an actual range of 100 to 110 kilometers. At sustained speeds near the top speed or with frequent hard acceleration, the figure is likely to drop significantly further. Purely mathematically, the 3.91 kWh battery would be depleted in less than 15 minutes at full motor power of 15.4 kW.

Such discrepancies between manufacturer claims and real-world range are not uncommon in the electric motorcycle industry. However, the gap is particularly large with the Flying Flea C6, primarily due to the comparatively small battery pack.

Chassis, Weight, and Brakes

At a curb weight of just 124 kilograms (273 lbs), the Flying Flea C6 is the lightest motorcycle Royal Enfield has ever built. The payload capacity is 160 kilograms (353 lbs). Up front, a girder fork with a hydraulic twin unit and steering linkage is inspired by the pre-war models of the original Flying Flea from the 1930s. At the rear, a monoshock with an internal floating piston is employed. Suspension travel is 100 mm at the front and 110 mm at the rear. Seat height is 823 mm, with ground clearance of 207 mm.

Braking is handled by a 260 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. The dual-channel ABS is lean-sensitive and offers three sensitivity levels, with rear ABS fully deactivatable. Lean-sensitive traction control is also included. The Flying Flea C6 rolls on 19-inch alloy wheels with narrow CEAT tires in the 90/90-19 size front and rear.

Equipment and Connectivity

The equipment list is unusually comprehensive for an entry-level electric motorcycle. The circular 3.5-inch TFT display with touchscreen shows speed, battery level, ride data, and more. Smartphone connectivity includes Google Maps navigation, SMS and call notifications, music control, voice assistant, and a torque band display. Under the tank cover sits a wireless smartphone charger with 15 watts, plus a USB-C port with 27 watts.

Riding Modes and Comfort Features

Five riding modes are available: City, Rain, Highway, Sport, and an individually configurable Custom mode. Each mode adjusts throttle response and traction control. A bidirectional crawl mode is intended to facilitate maneuvering in parking garages or slow-moving traffic. Additional comfort features include an electronic steering lock, remote unlock via app, hill-start assist, tip-over alert with location sharing, and full LED lighting.

Royal Enfield emphasizes that the Flying Flea C6 has its own VCU chip (Vehicle Control Unit) that is intended to enable over-the-air updates and remote monitoring.

Design: Retro Charm Instead of Sci-Fi Aesthetics

Visually, the Flying Flea C6 takes a completely different approach from most electric two-wheelers on the market. Instead of futuristic design, Royal Enfield opts for a neo-retro style clearly inspired by the original Flying Flea from World War II. The compact, slim build, round LED headlight, girder fork, floating seat, and exposed frame create a minimalist silhouette with a premium feel. The removable pillion seat underscores the purist character.

Indian testers who had already ridden the motorcycle on a 70-kilometer loop near Chennai particularly praised the build quality. Paint finish, the magnesium battery housing, switches, and metal parts are said to achieve a quality level previously unseen at Royal Enfield. The Flying Flea C6 eliminates the physical key. Instead, a five-digit passcode is entered via the touchscreen or the motorcycle is unlocked via smartphone app.

Price and Market Launch

Royal Enfield has not yet announced the official price. Indian media expect a price region around 300,000 Indian Rupees, equivalent to approximately 3,300 euros (3,500 USD). This would position the Flying Flea C6 as a premium lifestyle electric motorcycle, competing against models such as the Revolt RV400, the Ola Roadster X, and the Oben Rorr.

Royal Enfield has already announced that the Flying Flea will serve as an independent sub-brand for all future electric models. The second model, the scrambler variant Flying Flea S6, is expected to follow in the course of 2026, likely around the EICMA in November. Serial production runs at the factory in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu, for which parent company Eicher Motors has approved investments of 9.58 billion Rupees to expand capacity.
