Benelli TRK 902 Stradale 2026: road-oriented touring bike based on the 900 model

With the TRK 902 Stradale, Benelli is adding a travel version clearly designed for asphalt to its new 900 platform in 2026. Technically closely related to the TRK 902 Xplorer, the Stradale is aimed at long-distance riders with a focus on comfort and electronics.
  • 904 cc inline twin cylinder with 95.2 hp (70 kW)
  • 17-inch aluminum rims with road tires and 130 mm suspension travel
  • Extensive standard equipment including heated grips, seat heating, and cruise control

Following the off-road-oriented TRK 902 Xplorer, the TRK 902 Stradale is the logical road version. Both models share the same engine, frame, and basic architecture, but differ significantly in terms of chassis tuning, ergonomics, and intended use. The design was developed at Benelli’s headquarters in Pesaro, Italy.

Road alignment instead of off-road ambitions

The TRK 902 Stradale deliberately dispenses with off-road genes. Instead of cross-spoke wheels, 17-inch cast aluminum wheels are used at the front and rear. The model comes standard with Pirelli Angel GT II tires in sizes 120/70 17 at the front and 180/55 17 at the rear. The suspension travel is 130 mm in each case, which lowers the seat height to 805 mm and is designed to make handling easier.

The geometry also differs from the Xplorer. An adjusted steering head angle and modified trail are designed to ensure stable and easily controllable handling, especially when fully loaded with a passenger and luggage.

Design and ergonomics with a focus on long distances

Visually, the Stradale remains clearly recognizable as a member of the TRK family. However, the dual-lens headlights, striking fairing, and sturdy passenger handles made of reinforced nylon have been redesigned in detail. The result is a more harmonious and road-oriented appearance.

A key comfort feature is the large transparent windshield. It is infinitely adjustable and even available with electric adjustment as an option. The hand guards have been redesigned, as the turn signals are located on the sides of the radiator fairings, as is customary with Benelli. The narrow lower tank area is designed to allow for good knee grip.

904 cc inline twin cylinder with touring tuning

The TRK 902 Stradale is powered by the familiar 904 cc inline twin cylinder, which is also used in the Xplorer and related models from the QJ Group. The Euro 5+ compliant engine delivers 95.2 hp (70 kW) at 9,000 rpm and provides a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

According to the manufacturer, the tuning is aimed at powerful performance in the lower and middle speed ranges. Ride by Wire with 46 mm throttle valves, a Bosch Motronic ECU, slipper clutch, and a standard quickshifter are all part of the equipment.

Chassis and brake system

The steel trellis frame with reinforcement plates forms the basis of the TRK 902 Stradale. It was developed in Pesaro and is designed to offer a balance of stiffness and agility. At the front is a 43 mm upside-down fork from Marzocchi, at the rear a central shock absorber with aluminum swing arm and hydraulic remote adjuster for spring preload.

A Brembo system is responsible for deceleration. Two 320 mm brake discs with radially mounted monoblock calipers are used at the front, and a 260 mm disc at the rear. ABS and traction control are adjustable and can be completely switched off.

Electronics and standard equipment

The TRK 902 Stradale is extensively equipped and clearly geared towards touring. Standard features include:

  • 7-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and navigation
  • Three riding modes: Sport, Touring, and Urban
  • Cruise control
  • Traction control
  • Switchable ABS front and rear
  • Tire pressure monitoring
  • USB port
  • Heated grips and heated seat with three settings
  • Main stand

Benelli offers an optional luggage system with panniers and top case, crash bars, an app-controlled dashcam, and a radar system with blind spot assist that warns via mirrors and display.

Tank capacity, weight, and range

The metal tank holds 20 liters. The lower section remains narrow thanks to the partial plastic fairing. Benelli specifies fuel consumption of around 5 liters per 100 km, which should enable a long range.

The dry weight of the TRK 902 Stradale is 231 kg, or around 509 lbs, without fuel in the tank. This makes it around 4 kg lighter than the Xplorer version.

Market position and outlook

With the TRK 902 Stradale, Benelli is positioning itself in the growing segment of road-oriented touring crossover motorcycles. While the Xplorer is designed for gravel and light off-road terrain, the Stradale is aimed at riders who mainly cover long asphalt stages with high comfort requirements.

According to the manufacturer, the market launch in Europe is planned for 2026. Prices for Germany have not yet been announced. Together, the two models are intended to form the basis of a modular 900cc travel platform, on which Benelli plans to further expand its range in the coming years.
