Harley-Davidson riders exceed 83 million miles and trigger $1 million donation

Harley-Davidson’s 2025 Let’s Ride Challenge – Ride for Heroes ran across the United States between March 28 and October 31 and became one of the manufacturer’s largest participatory campaigns. More than 29,000 registered participants collectively racked up 83.4 million miles on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This significantly exceeded the original target of 50 million miles and triggered a donation of US$1 million (approx. €920,000) to various organizations that support military personnel, veterans, and first responders.

Background to the campaign

All US riders who own a Harley-Davidson with a valid VIN were eligible to participate. After registering with an authorized dealer, the miles driven were recorded during subsequent visits. In addition, collecting keywords and visiting new dealers contributed to the so-called Rev Score.

On average, riders covered around 3,500 miles. However, more than 2,300 participants exceeded the 10,000-mile mark within the seven-month period, which was considered a special contribution to the overall result.

Supported organizations

The $1 million donation (approx. €920,000) will be distributed to nine organizations that support military personnel, veterans, and first responders. These include:

  • 1 Soldier 1 Dog 1 Team
  • American Legion Riders
  • Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association
  • Hanks for Our Troops
  • Motorcycle Missions
  • National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers
  • Rolling Thunder
  • Wounded Warrior Project
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars

Harley-Davidson said in its statement that it was proud of the strong participation of riders. Vice President of Marketing Theo Keetell said, “The Harley-Davidson community is always ready to stand up for those who protect us and enable our freedom. The Let’s Ride Challenge – Ride for Heroes combined fun with a clear purpose, and Harley-Davidson was overwhelmed by the positive response. The company is very proud to make this donation to these very worthy organizations on behalf of all participating riders.”

  • Black & Orange Tier (7,501+ miles): the 2025 model year CVO Road Glide

The winners will be announced shortly.
