Peter Hickman dominated the first training of the Suncity Group Macau Grand Prix. With the Smith Racing BMW, in which he also competed in the BSB, he achieved a lap time of 2.26.007 min.

Michael Rutter set the second fastest time with the Honda RC213V-S. The two PBM drivers David Johnson and John McGuinness followed in third and fourth place.
With the Yamaha R1 Horst Saiger made a very good impression. A fifth place reflects this. Didier Grams achieved the eighth fastest lap on the BMW S 1000 RR.
