On social media, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has published pictures of a new concept. The CFMoto Vision Concept SR or SR-C21 seems to be a serious supersports bike with racing ambitions.
Mid-range or upper displacement supersports bike?
If one may go by the pictures, then one can assume that the 300SR and 250SR will get a big sister. With more exact information CFMoto holds back however so far. Currently, one suspects that a larger KTM engine (CFMoto and KTM work together in partnership) is used. It could be the same 800cc parallel twin as used in the CFMoto 800MT Adventure, but this must be considered speculation at the moment.
Design from Europe
The design was developed by CFMoto R&D Europe Modena 40, and CFMoto announced on social media that it offers a small taste of what is to come. Looking at the design, it could almost be a superbike for the SuperbikeWM. The very large brake discs have been fitted with covers into which ventilation openings have been incorporated. Braking is by Brembo. The suspension elements come from Öhlins. The footrests were moved very far back, which suggests a very sporty seating position. The exhaust from SC Project also seems to come directly from racing. Of course, one must not forget the large winglets at the front. Another visual treat is the single-sided swingarm, which perfectly showcases the rear wheel.
However, the fact that this is likely to be a street-legal motorcycle can also be seen from the stylish light units. You can’t really speak of a headlight here, as there are only thin curved lighting lines at the front. A rear light can also be found on the concept bike.
It is not yet clear when more detailed information about the bike will be available.
