The Coleraine and District Motor Club Ltd. has announced that the North West 200 has been cancelled for 2021. This follows the recommendation of the government and health authorities.
Consideration was given to postponing the event to a later date, but as they cannot yet assess what the situation will be in the summer, the risk was too high. The decision not only took into account the possibility of holding an orderly and safe event, but also the safety of the residents of the Northern Ireland coastal region was an important consideration.
Thus, for the second time in a row, the North West 200 had to be canceled.
