German motocross rider Ken Roczen will not be competing in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the next few months and is taking a break.

The Honda factory rider will suspend the outdoor season and then return for the 2021 AMA Supercross Series. In the meantime, he will focus on his family, who are expecting a child in September. He also wants to give his body time to recover from health problems.

In the meantime, his CRF450 R will be taken over by Christian Craig, who will then compete for Honda alongside Chase Sexton.

Ken Roczen: “Suspending an outdoor season was a difficult decision, but I am confident that it is the best thing for me and my team in the long term. I want to give my body a period of regeneration and enjoy this important experience with Courtney, so that I can return stronger in 2021. I thank my team and my sponsors for backing me up and I will give Chase and Christian the best possible support and assure them that I will do my job as well as I can afterwards”.
