- 475RR appears in new IP documents with completely redesigned look
- Performance expectations rise compared to the current 443cc version
Kove’s small four-cylinder enters the next round of development
Kove had already announced its entry into the small four-cylinder sports bike segment in 2022 with the 400RR. Even before production began, the model was enlarged to 443cc and presented as the 450RR. For 2026, this motorcycle was visually refined and equipped with larger winglets. Now it appears that the manufacturer is planning a further upgrade: the 475RR has appeared in current design registrations and is set to receive a newly developed look.

Indications of increased displacement and power
Images from an internal presentation for dealers and the CAD drawings that have now been published indicate that Kove is working on a significant upgrade. Although no technical details have been confirmed, the new designation suggests increased displacement and thus higher power. The current 443cc four-cylinder engine of the 450RR is rated at 70 hp, which corresponds to around 52.2 kW at 13,000 rpm. The 475cc version is expected to deliver around 75 hp, or around 56 kW. It remains to be seen whether further revisions will increase the potential even further.
Competition is growing noticeably in the small four-cylinder sports bike segment. The announced ZXMoto 500RR model is expected to generate 84 hp from 470cc, which corresponds to around 62.6 kW. According to the manufacturer, the CFMoto 500SR Voom achieves 78 hp, or around 58.2 kW, from 499cc.
Revised chassis and new look
According to the pictures, the tubular frame is said to be unchanged from the current 450RR platform. The swing arm, on the other hand, appears to have been redesigned. An opening on the right-hand side is intended to make the component look slimmer and lighter. In addition, a shock absorber with a piggyback reservoir can be seen, which is likely to be an improvement on the previous component. The fork and radial Taisko brakes, on the other hand, appear to have been carried over from the previous model.
Visually, the 475RR has a significantly different look. The front features larger, downward-reaching winglets and a new headlight assembly. The fairing, tank, seat, and rear have also been redesigned to give the motorcycle a more modern appearance overall.
Kove is also planning an updated 250RR
In addition to the documents for the 475RR, the registrations show a future version of the 250RR, which is based on the previous two-cylinder sports model. The front will be less pointed and the side fairing, tank, seat, and rear will also be redesigned. Much more noticeable is the single-sided swing arm, combined with redesigned wheels and a raised rear muffler, which is intended to make it easier to remove the rear wheel. The power output is expected to remain unchanged at 32 hp (23.9 kW).

Market position and other models
Although Kove also sells motorcycles in the US, the sports models are not yet available there. The current focus is on the 800X, the 450 Rally, and the MX450 and MX250 motocross bikes. At the same time, the manufacturer is working on larger models and has already unveiled the 650RR with a four-cylinder engine at EICMA in Milan.
