- Complete electronics package standard on all three- and four-cylinder models
- 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Quick Shift, cruise control, and comprehensive assistance systems included
- MV Ride app with GPS tracking, anti-theft protection, navigation, and OTA updates
With its 2026 model range, MV Agusta is clearly positioning itself in terms of equipment and price transparency. All of the brand’s motorcycles, regardless of segment or engine concept, leave the factory with a full range of electronic equipment as standard.

2026 electronics package standard for all models
For the 2026 model year, both three- and four-cylinder models will receive the complete electronic equipment at no additional cost. According to the manufacturer, there will be no software activations, no optional packages, and no activation fees. This is the company’s response to a market trend in which some electronic functions are activated for a fee.
An official statement reads: “The 2026 line-up reflects MV Agusta’s belief that advanced electronics are not optional extras, but an integral part of the modern riding experience. Riders benefit from a comprehensive suite of performance-enhancing systems, all factory-fitted as Original Equipment OE and seamlessly integrated into the motorcycle.”

Scope of standard assistance systems
Every model in the 2026 series comes with the following as standard:
- 6-axis IMU
- ABS with cornering function
- Three driving modes plus one custom mode
- Quick Shift for upshifting and downshifting
- Traction control with eight levels plus off
- Front Lift Control
- Engine brake control
- Adjustable engine characteristics
- Throttle response in low, medium, high
- Maximum engine torque in low, medium, high
- Rev limiter
- Cruise control
The custom riding mode allows you to upload a personalized engine tune directly from your smartphone. This allows you to define the engine and chassis behavior, including electronic suspension on appropriately equipped models. The individual map can be named, modified, and, according to the manufacturer, even adjusted while riding. Up to ten custom riding maps can be created per user, one of which is actively transferred to the motorcycle.

Connectivity and display unit
Depending on the model, standard equipment includes a 7-inch or 5.5-inch TFT display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and the MV Ride app. The system is supplemented by a GPS tracking device with integrated anti-theft protection.
The GPS module combines several functions in one hardware unit. These include real-time tracking, geofencing, emergency SMS, trip recording, and remote diagnostics. Navigation routes are planned in the app and displayed as turn-by-turn instructions on the TFT display. Maps can be saved for offline use. Voice guidance is available via compatible headsets.
Each trip is automatically recorded and stored in the digital trip log. Among other things, the system records lean angle, throttle position, average and maximum speed, travel time, distance, and gear position. Photos can be linked to geodata. Trips can be shared with other users or exported.
Integrated anti-theft system and emergency function
According to the manufacturer, MV Agusta is the only provider in the competitive environment to offer an integrated anti-theft system as standard. When activated, the system sends SMS alerts with GPS coordinates at ten-minute intervals. In addition, a geofencing function informs you when the motorcycle moves outside a defined area.
An emergency SMS function allows you to store a contact in the app. If an accident is detected based on predefined speed thresholds, the system automatically sends a message with position data.
The connected services of theft protection, emergency SMS, bike localization, and geofencing are included free of charge for the first year. From the second year onwards, these services are available via subscription for €89, equivalent to approximately $97 per year. They can be managed directly via the app.
Software updates and strategic direction
Thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the MV Ride app supports over-the-air firmware updates. Software updates can thus be carried out via smartphone without a visit to the workshop.
Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta, explains: “Every strategic decision at MV Agusta is driven by a customer-centric mindset. This commitment is what allows us to deliver the full experience as standard, with a transparent pricing philosophy and no hidden costs—exactly as our customers expect from a premium brand.”
With the full integration of electronics into the recommended retail price, the brand is focusing on a consistent ownership experience across the entire model range in 2026. The electronics package is therefore an integral part of every motorcycle ex works.
What does this mean for me as a motorcyclist?
For motorcyclists, this strategy means above all planning security and transparency when making a purchase. All available assistance systems and connectivity functions are already activated at the time of purchase, so there are no additional costs for later activations or optional packages. This makes it easier to calculate the total cost and ensures that the motorcycle can be used with its full range of functions from day one. At the same time, the standard integration of the electronics allows the engine, chassis, and assistance systems to be individually adapted to different operating conditions without having to overcome technical or financial hurdles later on.
