QJ Motor SRK 800 RR 2025: New generation with a clear focus on the racetrack

QJ Motor has comprehensively redesigned its mid-range super sports bike, the SRK 800 RR. The newly unveiled version makes no compromises and is more closely modeled on purebred race track machines. Particularly striking features include the redesigned ergonomics, the new aluminum frame, and the extensive range of high-quality components and electronics.

Aluminum frame replaces steel version

The previous model generation of the SRK 800 RR was still available with two different frame versions: steel or aluminum. For the new model year, QJ Motor is discontinuing the steel version completely. Instead, the manufacturer is focusing exclusively on the aluminum frame. This decision is intended not only to improve performance, but also to strengthen the bike’s positioning against competitors from Japan and Europe. With the discontinuation of the cheaper version, it is clear that QJ Motor is increasingly targeting a sporty, ambitious audience.

More aggressive design with aerodynamic adjustments

Visually, the SRK 800 RR has been significantly redesigned. The front end features a new ram air intake, which is now positioned lower between the redesigned headlights. The previously separate turn signals on stems have been replaced by integrated units in the mirror housings. Instead of small winglets, the new model features large aero elements on the side fairings. The rear has also been redesigned: it is sleeker, with a new taillight and less fairing around the passenger seat – another indication of its sportier aspirations.

Ergonomics with a clear focus on sports use

While the previous model still offered a relatively everyday-friendly seating position, the new version is more oriented towards classic super sports bikes. Lower handlebar stubs and higher footrests put the rider in a crouched, forward-leaning seating position. This moves the SRK 800 RR conceptually away from models such as the Honda CBR650R or the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and closer to sporty representatives such as the Yamaha R6 or the Honda CBR600RR.

Familiar technology – revised and consistent

The 778 cm³ inline four-cylinder engine remains unchanged, strongly reminiscent of the Honda CB650R engine – including an identical bore of 67 mm. According to the current registration documents, the performance data is 123 hp (90 kW), placing the machine between the Kawasaki ZX-6R with 128 hp (94 kW) and the Honda CBR650R with 94 hp (69 kW). A specific torque value has not yet been announced.

With a curb weight of 205 kg (approx. 452 lbs), the SRK 800 RR is well positioned in its class. The equipment includes high-quality components such as a Marzocchi fork, an aluminum single-sided swing arm, and Brembo brakes. QJ Motor is also ambitious when it comes to electronics: in addition to a six-axis IMU, it features cornering ABS, lean-angle-dependent traction control, a quickshifter, and tire pressure monitoring—features that are otherwise often only found in higher price segments.

Classification and perspective

The speed of development at QJ Motor is striking. No sooner had the first generation of the SRK 800 RR hit the market than a revised version with a clear sporting focus followed. In a segment that has long been dominated by Japanese four-cylinder models such as the Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600RR, and Suzuki GSX-R600, a Chinese manufacturer is now preparing to fill this gap.

Although QJ Motor still lacks a long tradition in motorsports—it has only scored a single point in the Supersport World Championship so far—the product itself is approaching the established brands in terms of quality and features. Combined with a presumably competitive price, the SRK 800 RR could be an interesting alternative in the shrinking market for supersport bikes.

Conclusion

With the new SRK 800 RR, QJ Motor is pursuing a clear course: more sportiness, high-quality technology, and a serious claim to hold its own in international competition. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to prevail against the top dogs in the long term. However, the direction is clear—and it leads significantly closer to the racetrack.
