Ducati is recalling several Monster models because there could be problems with the rear brake.
It is possible that the rear brake line could be damaged should the engine run for too long while stationary. Without the cooling airstream, the brake line could be damaged by the heat from the manifold. As a result, brake fluid could leak or air could enter the system – both of which would affect braking performance.
Affected are the models Monster 821 (model year 2015-2021), Ducati Monster 1200 / S (production period 2014-2021) and Ducati Monster 1200 R (production period 2016-2019).
In the workshop, the brake line is checked and replaced with a reinforced line if necessary. It is expected to take about 4 hours in the workshop.
