Sporty orientation of the Street Triple family
Triumph is sharpening its mid-range series and positioning the new models clearly above the Street Triple RS. According to the manufacturer, the RX will only be available for one year, while the Moto2 Edition is limited to 1,000 units worldwide. Both variants use the familiar 765 cc three-cylinder engine, which delivers 130 hp (95.6 kW) at 12,000 rpm and 80 Nm at 9,500 rpm. The result is a compact sports bike that is designed to be particularly precise on the throttle and deliver direct power on the racetrack.
The engine is based on the unit used in Moto2. Extensive use of data from racing over several seasons is said to have resulted in particularly resilient and responsive characteristics.
Chassis, brakes, and handling
Both models feature a fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 upside-down fork with 115 mm of travel. In addition, there is an Öhlins STX40 shock absorber with piggyback reservoir and 131.2 mm of travel. This setup is said to ensure significantly more precise handling, especially on fast sections of the track or when racing. The package is complemented by clip-on handlebars, which support weight transfer to the front and are designed to deliver sporty ergonomics.
For deceleration, two 310 mm discs with Brembo Stylema four-piston radial monoblock calipers are installed at the front, and a 220 mm disc with Brembo single-piston caliper at the rear. Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires are designed to further enhance the sporty performance.
Street Triple 765 RX: Homage and further development
The RX takes elements from the original Street Triple 675 RX and combines them with modern details. The matte aluminum silver paintwork is complemented by a Diablo Red rear frame. Color-coordinated wheels are also included. A CNC-machined upper triple clamp with RX laser engraving and a seat with RX branding round off the look. The RX is designed to offer particularly direct geometry and precise handling, which really comes into its own on fast country roads or track days.
The RX is priced at €13,995 (approx. $15,400) in Germany. In Austria, the price is €16,095 (approx. $17,700).
The following additional values are taken from the international reference texts:
- USA: $14,495 (approx. €13,200)
Moto2 Edition: Limited special edition with motorsport references
The Moto2 Edition is aimed at collectors and motorsport enthusiasts. Characteristic features include the side panels, front fender, front fairing, and carbon fiber muffler end cap. The color scheme combines Mineral Gray and Crystal White with accents in Triumph Performance Yellow. The Moto2 branding can be found on the tank, seat, muffler, and as the start screen on the TFT display.
An individually numbered, solid-machined upper triple clamp underscores the limited nature of this model (1,000 units worldwide). Here, too, clip-on handlebars and identical Öhlins suspension serve to emphasize the sporty character.
The price in Germany is €15,795 (approx. $17,400), and in Austria €17,995 (approx. $19,800).
International prices are as follows:
- USA: $16,495 (approx. €15,000)
- UK: £14,495 (approx. €17,000, approx. $18,700)
Electronics, equipment, and operation
The 5-inch TFT display offers an intuitive user interface. Both models feature several riding modes, including a track mode for the ABS, as well as cornering ABS and traction control. A quickshifter enables clutchless upshifting and downshifting. The ergonomics are designed to be sporty, but still suitable for everyday use.
The tank holds 15 liters, and the wet weight is 188 kg (414 lbs). This means that both versions are still among the lighter sport naked bikes in their class.
Availability and classification
The RX will be launched in Germany in February 2026, and the Moto2 Edition in April 2026. The dates vary slightly in other markets: in the USA, both models are expected to be available from December 2025. Triumph offers a four-year warranty with no mileage limit and long maintenance intervals of 10,000 km for both variants.
According to the manufacturer, around 35 accessories are available for those interested in further customizing the Street Triple. These include protective components, design add-ons, and performance accessories.
