First hints and teasers
No official information has been released by CFMoto as yet. However, the first teasers are already circulating on social media, showing a motorcycle with a strikingly sporty front fairing. The visual impression suggests that more than just one new model could be presented at EICMA. However, the focus is on the 1000cc travel enduro, which is attracting attention primarily thanks to reports from Spanish CFMoto importer Jets Marivent.
Technical specifications: Much remains unclear
It is not yet known what the new model will ultimately look like and how it will be equipped. However, it is said to feature an inline three-cylinder engine, which is an interesting approach. In the past, CFMoto has used revised KTM engines that are manufactured under license in China. One example of this is the 800 MT-X, which is equipped with a modified version of the KTM 790 parallel twin. However, CFMoto already has experience with three-cylinder engines, such as in the 675NK naked bike with a 675cc engine.
Performance and classification
No specific technical data is available yet. Various reports assume a power output in the range of around 111 hp (approx. 82 kW). This would put the model closer to the Honda Africa Twin or the NT1100 in terms of performance than to more powerful competitors such as the Ducati Multistrada V4 or the KTM 1390 Super Adventure. 111 hp corresponds to approximately 109.5 bhp or 82 kW.
Conclusion and outlook
It remains to be seen whether and in what form the new CFMoto 1000 MT-X will actually be presented at EICMA. So far, the available information is based on rumors; there are no official details. However, the introduction of a large-volume adventure bike with a three-cylinder engine would be an interesting step and could bring a breath of fresh air to the segment.
