A major event in a class of its own
The idyllic Mandello del Lario in Italy was once again the hub of the motorcycle world from September 7-10, 2023. The annual Moto Guzzi Open House broke all records. With around 35,000 participants, the event was able to tie in with European motorcycle culture and inspire numerous fans, families and tourists.
New addition to the V7 family
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the surprise presentation of the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Corsa. The motorcycle remains faithful to the V7 line, but features several design changes that emphasize the model’s sporty character. This new development makes perfect sense, since Moto Guzzi 2023 has also revived its Fast Endurance Trophy.
Engine and power
The new model is powered by an air-cooled 853cc 90-degree V-twin engine, as used in other V7 models. Unfortunately, the performance figures have not been published yet, so we can be curious about this information.
Design features that catch the eye
What makes the V7 Stone Corsa special are some design changes that set it apart from the other V7 models. The sporty headlight fairing and special seat are exclusive to this model. The headlight fairing in red and silver, along with a small clear windshield, gives the bike a sporty touch. Despite its appearance, the monoposto-style seat can comfortably accommodate a passenger. In addition, Moto Guzzi offers a body-color pillion seat cover at an additional cost.
Other details
Beyond that, there are a number of small but nice details. These include a black anodized aluminum fuel filler cap, a special emblem on the handlebar stem and, of course, black handlebar end mirrors. They all contribute to the retro-modern racing atmosphere, which is emphasized by the round-shaped V7 headlight design with the highly stylized eagle in the center.
Conclusion
Moto Guzzi’s 2023 Open House in Mandello del Lario was a resounding success and the new V7 Stone Corsa model undoubtedly attracted a lot of attention. With its sporty character and exclusive design features, it should appeal to many Moto Guzzi fans.
