Model range: Three variants for different areas of use
With the new XP6 models, Peugeot is primarily targeting novice riders aged 14 and above. The focus on this target group is also reflected in the variety of models: in addition to two Supermoto variants, an Enduro version is also available.
– XP6 Standard
The basic version of the XP6 features a classic steel tube frame, a telescopic fork, and 17-inch wheels. Braking is provided by a 300 mm front brake disc, which is enclosed by a single-piston caliper.
– XP6 Supermotard R
If you value a sporty look and chassis, the Supermotard R is the right choice for you. It features an upside-down fork, spoked wheels, and a two-piston caliper at the front.
– XP6 Enduro
Peugeot offers the XP6 Enduro for off-road use. It rolls on a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel, both with spoked wheels and off-road tires. A 41 mm upside-down fork rounds off the off-road package.
Technology: Proven 2-stroke engine and six-speed transmission
All three versions of the Peugeot XP6 are equipped with a Minarelli AM6 single-cylinder two-stroke engine, which is powered by a Dell’Orto carburetor. The engine is combined with a liquid cooling system and a manual six-speed transmission. Specific performance and torque figures are not currently available, and prices have not yet been announced.
Classification: Expansion of the Peugeot moped portfolio
With the XP6, Peugeot is expanding its entry-level two-wheeler range, which has previously focused on scooters and more powerful models such as the XP400 GS ES and Metropolis 400 SW. The PM01 model is also part of the Peugeot range – available in France as a 125 and 300, and currently only as a 125 in the United Kingdom.
Conclusion
With the new XP6 series, Peugeot is once again targeting young riders who value sporty design and manual transmission.
