Recall due to structural weaknesses
The T125 and T125X models from manufacturer Morbidelli are affected by a Europe-wide recall. Official RAPEX documents show that weld seams were used in several places on the frame that do not meet the necessary strength requirements. This affects machines with type approval e13168/201302184*02.
Possible frame failure under high stress
According to the published information, high forces, such as when driving on poor roads or over deep potholes, can cause cracks in the affected welds. In the worst case, the connection in the front area can fail. This can cause the down tube to detach from the head tube, leading to a complete collapse of the frame. Such a defect can occur without warning and pose a significant risk of injury.
The motorcycles originate from the People’s Republic of China and, according to EU information, were not tested in accordance with the requirements of the regulation on the approval and market surveillance of two- and three-wheeled vehicles, or did not meet these requirements.
Measures taken by the manufacturer
The manufacturer has taken several steps. These include an immediate sales stop, accompanying measures to prevent further marketing, a warning to users, and a recall of the motorcycles from end customers. Affected owners should stop using their vehicles and contact the dealer or importer.
Publication of the case
The safety report was published on November 20, 2025. Italy was responsible for reporting the case, where it was also officially registered.
