- Arai Horizon-X: new full-face helmet with the shell of the RX-7V EVO, homologated to ECE R22-06
- RX-7V EVO IoM TT 2027: asymmetric design by Drudi Performance in orange, dark blue, light blue and gold
- Arai has not yet announced prices or a market launch
As EICMA opens in Milan, running from 3 to 8 November, Arai is presenting two new products for the 2027 season. The Horizon-X is a completely new model. It is aimed at riders who spend a lot of time on the road, whether riding sportily on country roads or in everyday use. It is joined by the new special edition for the Isle of Man TT, where Arai has been the official helmet partner for four decades. Both helmets are among the new products visitors to the Milan show get to see this year.

What is the Arai Horizon-X?
The Arai Horizon-X is a new full-face helmet that the Japanese manufacturer has developed specifically for the road. According to Arai, the focus is on protection, comfort and good ventilation on every ride.
The manufacturer says the helmet draws on decades of experience in helmet development. This is complemented by new technologies designed for sporty riding and everyday use. However, Arai has not yet described exactly which technologies these are. There are also no details yet on the ventilation system, the visor or the interior. The first press photos show the Horizon-X in plain white.
How does the shell of the Arai Horizon-X protect the rider?
The Horizon-X takes its shell directly from the RX-7V EVO. This means the new road helmet also has the round, smooth egg shape that Arai has used on all its models for more than 30 years.
Behind this is a principle the manufacturer calls Glancing Off. A shell that is as round and smooth as possible should slide over obstacles in a crash rather than catching on them. As a result, less impact energy should reach the rider’s head. Arai uses the egg as its model because the company regards it as the strongest shape in nature.
According to Arai, every shell is made by hand and consists of more than 20 selected materials. The Horizon-X meets the current European helmet standard ECE R22-06 as well as the manufacturer’s own in-house test criteria. Arai sees the helmet as the next step in a company philosophy of developing proven protection principles step by step.

RX-7V EVO IoM TT 2027: New design for the Drudi anniversary
Alongside the Horizon-X, Arai has also brought the new limited edition for the Tourist Trophy to Milan. The special edition is released every year and is an established part of the partnership between Arai and the road race on the Isle of Man.
For 2027, Drudi Performance has created a completely new design inspired by the TT and its new colours. The asymmetric livery combines bold orange with dark blue, light blue and gold, exactly the colours that define the TT’s current look. One detail stands out in particular: on this edition, the Arai logo is blue rather than the usual black. With the helmet, Drudi Performance and Arai Helmet Europe are also celebrating 40 years of collaboration.
What changes compared with the 2026 TT helmet?
Visually, the 2027 edition sees Arai move away from the retro style of its predecessor. The 2026 TT helmet was finished in black, white and gold with red, orange and blue accents.
That edition was already Arai’s 17th TT special model and the third design based on the TT’s new branding introduced in 2024. It was unveiled in November 2025 at Motorcycle Live in Birmingham and went on sale in May 2026, with a small number also available directly at the TT. Instead of a retro look, the new version picks up the race’s current colour scheme directly. The basis remains the same: the 2027 edition is once again built on the RX-7V EVO.

When will the Horizon-X and the 2027 TT edition go on sale?
Arai has not yet announced prices or a market launch for either helmet. For now, the Horizon-X and the 2027 TT edition can only be seen at EICMA.
Both models are on display until 8 November at Arai stand O81 in Hall 5. In addition to technical and sales staff from Arai Helmet Europe, the Italian importer BER Racing is also on hand to answer visitors’ questions.
