- EICMA 2026 runs from 3 to 8 November, with the first two days reserved for press and trade visitors.
- BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki and Honda have already shown key 2027 models online in advance.
- With dedicated slots for something new: Yamaha on the eve of the show, KTM and CFMoto on the first show day.
For decades, the motorcycle show in Milan was the place where manufacturers showed their new models for the coming year for the very first time. This year that is only partly the case. Many motorcycles for the 2027 model year were unveiled long ago, complete with specs, prices and photos. Anyone standing in front of them in Milan will learn nothing new. With other models it is the other way round: they will be on display at the show, but the technical data will only follow weeks later. And then there are manufacturers who are deliberately keeping quiet about what they will bring. This overview sorts out where a genuine world premiere can actually be expected in Milan and where only rumours, spy shots and patent drawings point to something new.

When is EICMA 2026?
EICMA 2026 takes place from 3 to 8 November at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre. On 3 and 4 November only press and trade visitors are admitted; for everyone else the show is open from 5 to 8 November, daily from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
That makes the first two days the decisive ones for new models. Anything a manufacturer wants to show for the first time in Milan will be unveiled to the press on 3 or 4 November at the latest. Many media reports only mention 5 to 8 November, but those are merely the public days.
According to the organisers, the 83rd edition of the show is the largest ever held at the Rho site. For the first time ten halls are in use, one more than in 2025, with a combined area of more than 300,000 square metres. 754 exhibitors with 2,120 brands from 52 countries have registered, and around 30 percent of the direct exhibitors are new or returning. A day ticket costs 20 euros (approx. 22 US dollars) online plus a 1.50 euro (approx. 1.70 US dollars) fee, or 25 euros (approx. 28 US dollars) at the box office.
Which EICMA 2026 new models are already known?
A large share of the new models for 2027 has already been presented, above all by BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki and Honda. In Milan these motorcycles will mostly be shown to the public for the first time, but hardly any new information is to be expected there.
BMW is the clearest example. The manufacturer announced its 2027 model year as early as 2 July. The most important change is a new third-generation M Motorsport frame for the M 1000 RR. It is around 1.3 kilograms (2.9 lbs) lighter, and the walls are up to 30 percent thinner. Individual online premieres with pre-announced dates followed in the autumn: the A2 naked bike F 450 R on 1 October and the F 450 RR supersport on 15 October. Both produce 48 hp (35 kW) at 8,750 rpm. The F 450 RR is set to be shown in public for the first time in Milan.
Ducati presented the 2027 Panigale V4 on 15 October. Its V4 now delivers 218 hp (160.4 kW) at 13,500 rpm and 120.6 Nm (89 lb-ft) at 11,000 rpm, two horsepower more than before. Kawasaki already confirmed the return of the Ninja H2 to Europe in September. Under Euro 5+ it produces 209 hp (154 kW) with ram air. October brought the new Versys 900 with the four-cylinder engine from the Z900, 122 hp (89.6 kW) and, for the first time in the Versys family, radar-based assistance systems. It is due to be exhibited publicly for the first time at EICMA.
Honda presented two supersport bikes at once on 20 October. The CBR500R Four is completely new. Its 502 cc inline four produces 72 hp (53 kW) at 11,000 rpm, the E-Clutch electronic clutch is standard, and an A2 version with 35 kW is available from the factory. The CBR600RR stays in the range and gets Fireblade brake calipers and a three-mode ABS for 2027.

Shown, but still without specs: the Triumph Street Triple 798
Triumph is going its own way and spreading its new models across fixed dates until mid-December. It kicked off on 6 October with the Bonneville T40, featuring a 398 cc single with 32 hp (23.5 kW). The revised Tiger 1200 with a more powerful triple and new chassis follows on 27 October, and the Tiger 900 on 15 December.
The model in between is more exciting. The next Street Triple is no longer called 765 but 798. Its triple comes from the development of the new Moto2 engine that Triumph built for the 2027 racing season. This time, then, the race engine came first and the road bike second, not the other way round.
According to Triumph, the Tiger 1200 and the Street Triple 798 will be exhibited in Milan. However, Triumph will only publish the Street Triple’s technical data on 17 November, nine days after the last day of the show. At EICMA the bike can therefore only be looked at. Power, weight and price remain open until then.
Which manufacturers have announced genuine new models for EICMA 2026?
So far, Yamaha, CFMoto and KTM have explicitly announced an unveiling, none of them naming a model. These three manufacturers are the most likely to show something that nobody has officially presented before.
Yamaha unveils on the eve of the show
Yamaha will present its new model in Milan on the evening of 2 November, one day before the show opens. The livestream starts at 6:40 pm. The motto is “Redefine the Standard”. The teaser shows a heartbeat curve with three spikes, with a larger gap between the second and third. That fits a three-cylinder engine with a new firing order, and a Ténéré 900 is the most frequently mentioned candidate. Yamaha itself has not named a model so far.
CFMoto teases a sports bike
CFMoto exhibits in Hall 10 at stand I52 and will show its new sports bike directly at the show. A teaser from 9 October shows the cockpit of a fully faired sports bike with clip-on bars and a fairing screen, but no name. CFMoto has not said whether this is the production version of the V4 SR-RR.
The V4 SR-RR was already on display as a prototype at EICMA 2025. According to CFMoto, its 997 cc V4 with a 90-degree cylinder angle produces more than 157 kW at the crankshaft, which is a good 213 hp. On 15 June 2026 a pre-production prototype reached 315.82 km/h in Shangrao, a record for a Chinese motorcycle. Whether a production version will match these figures and what it would cost is open. A second CFMoto teaser shows a sketch of a scooter, which is also due to be unveiled on 3 November.
KTM returns after a year’s break
At EICMA 2024 KTM was still represented with a large stand, for the first time in five years. In 2025 KTM was absent from Milan. At the time the restructuring following the insolvency at the end of 2024 was under way, at the end of which Bajaj took over the majority. Since 13 January 2026 the parent company has been called Bajaj Mobility AG.
Now KTM is returning under the motto “Back on the Grid”. The press conference starts on 3 November at 10:45 am in Hall 22 at stand E08, together with Husqvarna. Announced are new developments in the off-road segment, solutions for the next generation and an outlook on future products and technologies. KTM is not revealing which motorcycles these are.
Two candidates were photographed as prototypes this year. The 990 Adventure is set to replace the 890 Adventure, with the 947 cc parallel twin from the 990 Duke, a 21-inch front wheel, an 18-inch rear wheel and a twin tank. The 990 SMT would be a supermoto tourer with the same engine, 17-inch wheels, a half fairing and front radar. Around 120 hp (88 kW) and 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) are expected for it. KTM has not officially linked either model to EICMA.

Which superbikes could appear at EICMA 2026?
For several major supersport bikes, spy shots, patents and homologation documents point to new models. However, no manufacturer has confirmed an appearance in Milan.
New BMW S 1000 RR
In July a drawing from an Indian design registration surfaced showing the next S 1000 RR. At the same time an output of 215 hp (158 kW) became known; the current version has 210 hp (154 kW). Shortly afterwards a prototype was seen on the Nordschleife. This fits with a patent for a swingarm made using so-called rheocasting: the aluminium is processed in a semi-solid state, allowing wall thicknesses below 3.5 millimetres. This has nothing to do with the 2027 M 1000 RR, where according to BMW only the frame is new.
BMW has confirmed none of this. Production is said to start in May 2027. That would make EICMA an obvious date for the presentation, but BMW could also show the new RR online again, as it did most recently with the F 450 RR. US homologation documents for 2027 also list an M 1000 RS, which does not yet exist. And at the end of July an M 1300 GS with a 21-inch front wheel was photographed as a prototype.
Honda V3R and a new Fireblade
At Honda, the focus is first on the V3 engine with an electric compressor. At EICMA 2024 Honda showed the 75-degree V3 installed in a trellis frame with an upside-down fork, twin discs and a single-sided swingarm. A year later came the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype with fairing. The engine has 900 cc and is said to achieve the output of a 1,200 cc engine. Honda stated at the time: “Honda will continue development for the mass production.”
In July 2026 design documents were published in Australia showing a version with mirrors, indicators and a licence plate holder. After the engine concept and the prototype, the production model would be the next step. An appearance in Milan has not been confirmed.
Then there is the Fireblade. On 22 and 23 October Honda tested a camouflaged new version at Jerez, ridden by test rider Jonathan Rea. Striking features are side air ducts modelled on the Ducati Panigale V4 R, larger front winglets and a narrower front end. According to a Honda employee, the majority of the parts are new.
For the Superbike World Championship, Honda needs a road-legal production motorcycle that is freely sold and reaches a minimum production number. If the new machine is to race as early as 2027, the road version will have to follow soon. In the USA, however, Honda has already announced the current Fireblade SP as a 2027 model.
Ducati Panigale V4 SP and Streetfighter V4 SP
Documents from the California environmental agency CARB list a Panigale V4 SP and a Streetfighter V4 SP for 2027. This makes it very likely that both will come. The Panigale V4 SP is set to sit between the base V4 and the V4 R, while the Streetfighter V4 SP returns after a year’s break. Whether Ducati will show the two in Milan is open, as the manufacturer has recently been presenting its new models individually online.
What is ZXMoto planning for EICMA 2026?
All that has been confirmed for ZXMoto so far is that riders Valentin Debise and Federico Caricasulo are coming to Milan. Whether the manufacturer has its own stand and which models it will show is open.
The Chinese brand was founded in 2024 by Zhang Xue, who had previously co-founded Kove. ZXMoto made its name on the race track. In March 2026 Debise won both Supersport races at Portimão, the first wins for a Chinese manufacturer in this world championship. At the end of the season he was runner-up with the 820RR.
On the road, the next model is the 820X adventure bike with a three-cylinder engine. According to its type approval it produces 116 hp (85 kW) and weighs 218 kilograms (481 lbs). In China it costs the equivalent of around 6,100 euros (approx. 6,830 US dollars). There is also a water-cooled boxer of around 1,000 cc with shaft drive, which ZXMoto showed as a prototype in Chongqing in September.
The V5, a five-cylinder of around 1,000 cc, is attracting the most attention. Zhang Xue announced in Cremona that the engine should be ready at the end of 2027, with entry into the Superbike World Championship planned for 2028. However, the current regulations only provide for three- and four-cylinder engines up to 1,000 cc and twins up to 1,200 cc. For a five-cylinder, the Superbike Commission would have to change the rules.
It is also unclear when ZXMoto motorcycles will be available in Germany. In the UK an importer has been distributing the brand since the summer, starting with the 500RR. An importer has been responsible for the Benelux countries and Scandinavia since June. There is no official German dealer network yet, but a dealer in Altenberge in the Münsterland region has announced the start of sales for November.

Which other models are considered candidates for Milan?
At Kawasaki, a lot points to a new adventure bike. A KLE 650 has been listed in the Australian type approval register since 16 October. A few days later Kawasaki UK published a short video without a model name. It shows a green trellis frame like that of the KLE 500, a new clutch cover and two front brake discs instead of one. Everything points to a bigger sister of the KLE 500. Which engine powers it is not known.
Further candidates such as the BMW M 1000 RS, M 1300 GS and KTM 990 Adventure have so far only appeared in homologation documents or as spy shots. An EICMA premiere has not been confirmed for any of them. An overview of all new 2027 models known so far helps to sort out which models are already official and which are not.
Which appearances at EICMA 2026 are already confirmed?
Alongside the major manufacturers, several brands and organisers have announced specific programmes for Milan.
LiveWire exhibits in Hall 14 together with Harley-Davidson. The S4 Honcho Skate and the Dust Spur, both planned for 2027, celebrate their world premieres there. The Dust Hightail appears for the first time under the LiveWire name and is set to go on sale in 2027.
On 3 November in Hall 18, Benda will show the European version of the Dark Flag 950 V4 cruiser with 948 cc and 108.8 hp (80 kW). The first European dealers are due to receive it from the end of November. Indian Motorcycle is holding a press conference in Hall 22 on the same day and plans to present a business report and its first new models for 2027.
Also in Hall 22 is the “Legends of Speed” exhibition, organised jointly by MotoGP and EICMA. On more than 1,400 square metres, over 35 racing machines from the history of the premier class are on display, including the five current MotoGP bikes. In the same hall, the Dakar Rally shows historic and current rally motorcycles. Ducati will close its 100th anniversary year at the show with its own exhibition.
On top of that there are many smaller brands with new models and prototypes. So there is plenty to look forward to at EICMA 2026, but not everything on display in Milan is a genuine world premiere.
