- 193 hp LC8 V-twin with new CAMSHIFT technology
- 11 kg lighter than the KTM 1390 Super Duke R
- Worldwide limited to 350 units, market launch from April/May 2026
KTM has presented the sharpest evolution of its Hypernaked range with the 1390 Super Duke RR 2026. According to the manufacturer, the motorcycle developed in Austria represents the most consistent implementation of its in-house performance philosophy, setting itself apart from the already known 1390 Super Duke R with a clear focus on weight reduction, high-quality materials and racing technology.
11 kilograms lighter than the Super Duke R
Compared to the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, the RR variant is said to save 11 kilograms. This weight reduction is achieved through several measures. Extensive carbon components contribute a significant share, as does a factory-fitted Akrapovic slip-on titanium silencer. According to information from earlier homologation documents, a lithium-ion battery has also replaced the conventional lead-acid unit. The reduced mass should translate into noticeably greater agility and responsiveness, both on the road and on the racetrack. At the same time, KTM relies on a stiffer, more performance-oriented chassis intended to deliver maximum stability at the absolute limit.
The LC8 V-twin with CAMSHIFT technology
At the heart of the 1390 Super Duke RR sits the 1,350 cc LC8 V-twin. The engine produces 193 hp (142 kW) and delivers a torque of 145 Nm (107 lb-ft). Compared to the standard Super Duke R with its 190 hp, this represents a slight power increase. New on board is the so-called CAMSHIFT technology, which according to KTM is intended to improve combustion across the entire rev range. In combination with the Akrapovic titanium silencer, this also results in a distinctive sound character.

WP PRO COMPONENTS and Brembo HyPure Sport
For chassis tuning, KTM relies on WP PRO COMPONENTS, which according to the manufacturer are based on MotoGP technology. The suspension elements are intended to offer a high degree of adjustability and to work precisely even when ridden hard on the racetrack. Forged light-alloy wheels and Michelin Power GP Hypersport tyres complete the chassis package. Braking is handled by Brembo HyPure Sport callipers on the front axle, designed to deliver track-level braking performance.
New touchscreen cockpit and BEAST MODE
The 1390 Super Duke RR also sets new standards within the KTM model range when it comes to electronics. KTM speaks of the most comprehensive electronics package ever fitted to a road-legal KTM. All functions of the TECH PACK are unlocked as standard.
At the centre is a completely new 8.8-inch touchscreen TFT display. In TRACK MODE, expanded telemetry data and a lap timer are available. In addition, the so-called BEAST MODE celebrates its premiere. KTM does not provide details on its exact function in the press release. The electronics package is rounded off by the familiar rider aids, various riding modes and ABS functions.

Aerodynamic winglets and new design
Visually, the 1390 Super Duke RR sets itself apart from the standard variant through several details. Aerodynamic winglets in the tank area are intended to increase downforce on the front axle and thus reduce the tendency for the front wheel to lift. A redesigned front headlight and a specific colour scheme underline the independent appearance. KTM emphasises that the RR is not merely a special edition, but an independently developed motorcycle with the goal of operating on equal terms with superbikes.
Availability and limitation
The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR 2026 is expected to be available from KTM dealers from April or May. Production is limited worldwide to 350 units. This means the run is even smaller than that of the RR predecessors of the 1290 series, which were each produced in 500 units. KTM has not yet communicated an official price.
