Moto Morini’s Adventure bike X-Cape 650 was shown for the first time at EICMA 2019 and is now about to be launched, also in Europe.
The X-Cape was designed in Italy and manufactured in China. From October, it should be in the showrooms throughout Europe. The price is stated at 7,290 euros, although it will also certainly differ depending on the country. In addition, there is also to be a more street-oriented version, which is to be equipped with alloy wheels instead of the spoked wheels. This is to be offered for 7,090 euros.
Performance and equipment of the Moto Morini X-Cape
The engine produces a Euro5-compliant 45 kW or 61 hp at 8,500 rpm. The maximum torque of 56 Nm is reached at 7,000 rpm. The power unit sits in a trellis frame. The dry weight is stated at 213 kg. The tank holds 18 liters. The X-Cape is said to reach a top speed of 175 km/h.
A 50 mm upside-down fork damps the front. It offers a suspension travel of 160 mm. The eccentrically mounted shock absorber has a travel of 135 mm. Ground clearance is listed at 175 mm.
The 19-inch wire-spoke front wheel is covered with a 110/80 lugged tire. The 17-inch rear wheel gets tires in the dimensions 150/70.
Braking is at the front with two 298 discs. The dual ABS comes from Bosch. The seat height is given as 830 mm, but there is also to be an optional bench seat, with which one gets up to 845 mm.
The 7-inch TFT display can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth. A tire pressure monitoring system is also to be integrated.
