Paaschburg & Wunderlich powered by Bihr becomes the exclusive European distribution partner for SCOTT motorsport goggles across eleven countries starting June 2026.
  • SCOTT motorsport goggles available from June 2026 through Bihr and Paaschburg & Wunderlich in eleven European markets
  • Exclusive distribution agreement for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and additional countries
  • SCOTT announces new motorsport goggle collections for upcoming seasons

The European motorcycle market is gaining a new distribution channel for one of the most established goggle brands in the offroad sector. Paaschburg & Wunderlich powered by Bihr has announced a strategic partnership with Swiss sporting goods manufacturer SCOTT. Starting in June 2026, the distributor based in Glinde near Hamburg will assume the role of exclusive distribution partner for SCOTT motorsport goggles in key European markets.

Eleven Countries, One Distribution Partner

The new agreement covers a large portion of the European motorcycle market. Specifically, the distribution partnership encompasses Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands, and France. Bihr functions as the overarching distribution partner, while Paaschburg & Wunderlich serves the German market. With a combined dealer network of over 15,000 active dealers in Europe, the Bihr Group has substantial reach in the specialty trade.

The goal of the collaboration, according to the involved companies, is to expand the availability of SCOTT motorsport goggles in European retail and simplify access to products for dealers and end customers. The goggles will be incorporated into Bihr’s so-called Rider-Gear-Portfolio, which already includes brands in the rider equipment category for street and offroad use.

Peter Hakanson, President of Bihr, puts the partnership in perspective: “We are proud to add SCOTT goggles to Bihr’s Rider-Gear-Portfolio. SCOTT’s reputation for performance, innovation, and rider-focused design aligns perfectly with our comprehensive expertise in both street and offroad sectors.” Hakanson also emphasizes that rider protection is at the center of their operations and the partnership strengthens their ability to offer dealers first-class goggle solutions.

SCOTT: From Ski Poles to Motorsport Goggles

Behind the SCOTT name stands a Swiss sporting goods manufacturer with American roots, drawing on a long corporate history. SCOTT Sports SA was founded in 1958 by engineer and skier Ed Scott in Sun Valley, Idaho. His first product was a tapered aluminum ski pole, which almost completely replaced the bamboo and steel poles that were standard at the time.

SCOTT entered the motorsport sector around 1970, when the company launched one of the first protective goggles specifically developed for off-road riding competition. According to the current press release, motorsport goggles are among the products SCOTT developed 55 years ago. The company’s current headquarters is located in Givisiez, Switzerland, and it operates in more than 80 countries worldwide with offices in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia. In addition to motorsport goggles, the portfolio includes high-performance bicycles, winter sports equipment, running shoes, and sportswear.

Pascal Ducort, Co-CEO of SCOTT, emphasizes the importance of the motorsport division for the company: “Motorsport goggles were one of the first products SCOTT developed in 1971 in Sun Valley, and they continue to represent our company’s innovative capability in the action sports sector.” With the new distribution agreement, the company aims to reaffirm its commitment to this category and take the next important step by strengthening distribution in motorsport and introducing future collections.

New Collections Announced

In addition to the pure distribution partnership, the announcement includes an outlook on upcoming products. According to the press release, SCOTT continuously develops new products for its action sports disciplines, including innovative motorsport goggles to be unveiled in upcoming seasons. However, details about specific models, technologies, or pricing have not yet been disclosed.

Paaschburg & Wunderlich: Distributor with a Wide Network

Paaschburg & Wunderlich was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Glinde near Hamburg. The company has been part of the Bihr Group since 2021 and ranks among the largest motorcycle industry distributors in Germany. In early 2025, Bihr GmbH in Germany was integrated into Paaschburg & Wunderlich GmbH; since then, the company operates under the name Paaschburg & Wunderlich GmbH powered by Bihr. The portfolio encompasses rider equipment, spare parts, and accessories for motorcycles, quads, ATVs, and scooters. Brands distributed include in-house brands such as Highsider, RST, and Fly Racing, as well as the exclusive distribution of Arai helmets.

Bihr itself was founded in 1975 and is part of the Belgian Alcopa Group. The company is present in over 15 countries and distributes approximately 250 brands with over 200,000 articles through six distribution centers across Europe.
