A new look for adventure: The Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE model year 2025

The Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE will be launched in 2025 with a revised design and proven technology.  The adventure bike remains a firm favorite for travel enthusiasts who don’t shy away from gravel tracks.  With three new color combinations and a robust technology package, the V-Strom 1050DE has everything you need for long tours and rough terrain.

Powerful V-twin with character

At the heart of the V-Strom 1050DE is the high-torque 90-degree V-twin with a displacement of 1,037 cm³.  The engine delivers 79 kW (107 hp) at 8,500 rpm and provides a maximum torque of 100 Nm at 6,000 rpm.  The characteristic power delivery ensures smooth thrust on the road and reliable traction off-road.  The engine combines cultivated responsiveness with powerful acceleration – ideal for changing surfaces and long distances.

Technology for safety and control

With the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), the V-Strom 1050DE relies on modern electronic support.  Three riding modes can be selected via the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) to flexibly adapt the performance characteristics to the respective riding situation.  The traction control offers a special “Gravel” mode that allows controlled slip on the rear wheel – a plus for experienced off-road riders.

Other features such as hill start assist, cruise control, the combined braking system with ABS that can be switched off at the rear wheel and electronic throttle control round off the overall package.

Off-road chassis with road genes

The chassis of the V-Strom 1050DE has been trimmed for versatility.  A stable aluminum frame forms the basis, supplemented by high-quality chassis components.  A 43 mm upside-down fork is used at the front and a lever-operated monoshock at the rear – both are adjustable in terms of rebound and compression damping as well as spring preload.  The long suspension travel and robust 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels underline the adventure claim.

The tried-and-tested braking system with two 310 mm brake discs at the front ensures reliable deceleration.  The anti-lock braking system can be deactivated on the rear wheel for off-road use, giving experienced riders more control on loose surfaces.

Modern cockpit and powerful lighting technology

The cockpit of the V-Strom 1050DE is dominated by a 5-inch TFT color display.  The clearly laid out instrument provides comprehensive information and supports intuitive operation.  LED lights all around – from the striking, stacked headlights to the rear light and indicators – ensure high visibility and safety day and night.

Three new color schemes for 2025

In model year 2025, Suzuki is presenting the V-Strom 1050DE in three fresh paint finishes:

  • Champion Yellow No.2 / Glass Sparkle Black (BT1): Reminiscent of Suzuki’s motorsport history in the off-road sector.
  • Glass Sparkle Black / Metallic Mat Black No.2 (C4X): Timeless and discreet for purists.
  • Pearl Tech White / Glass Sparkle Black (CK6): Striking contrast for a modern appearance.

Price and availability

The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE is now available from dealers.  The recommended retail price is €16,350 (around $17,700) ex works, plus ancillary costs.
