Following the launch of the new BMW R 1300 GS, Touratech is offering a specially designed soft luggage system that can be mounted on the standard Vario carrier without any additional modifications. The Plug & Travel system is intended as an alternative to hard-shell cases and is aimed at travel and adventure use.
Concept and design of the Plug & Travel system
The Plug & Travel soft luggage system consists of a mounting system for both sides of the vehicle and two side bags. The bags are attached directly to the existing Vario carrier on the BMW R 1300 GS and, according to the manufacturer, are designed to be ready for installation. No additional carrier or complex adjustments are required.
The scope of delivery also includes two identical locks. These secure the bags to the mounting system and are intended to provide basic protection against unauthorized removal.
Bag variants and volumes
Touratech offers the soft luggage system in several versions. Depending on the variant, different volumes and materials are available. All versions are available as a set of two for the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Endurance Edition 30/30 liters
The Endurance Edition is available in three color variants. Each bag offers a volume of 30 liters per side.

Travel Edition 40/40 liters
The Travel version offers a larger packing volume of 40 liters per side.

Extreme Edition 30/30 liters and 40/40 liters
The Extreme Edition is designed for more intensive use. It is available with a volume of 30 or 40 liters per side.
Both versions are priced at €1,149.90.
