Rossi is one of the greatest motorcyclists in history, and probably no one has understood more how the game works away from the sport. He has been selling his merch under the VR46 branding for what feels like an eternity, but a wide variety of collaborations have also been made under the brand. Now comes an electric bike as well.
The VR46 e-MTB was developed in collaboration with MT Distribution. Two versions are to be offered, once a premium edition and a strictly limited Rossi edition.
“With VR46 Racing Apparel, we have been on an evolutionary path for some time, producing projects whose goal is to create performance-oriented products. We have long wanted to expand our range and enter the world of cycling, especially off-road,” explains Carlo Alberto Tebaldi, CEO of VR46.
The limited edition model is equipped with carbon components. Only 46 units are to be produced and come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Rossi himself.
Otherwise, the two models are equipped with 27.5-inch rear wheels. The inner rim width is 35mm. The wheel size at the front is 29 inches and the width 30mm. For the tires, the choice was made for Pirelli Scorpion E tires. The suspension consists of a 160mm fork and a 205/67.5mm shock absorber.
To lower the center of gravity, the battery was placed in the lower part of the frame. The drive comes from Bosch. All the data of the VR46 e-MTB have not yet been announced. A presentation is planned for the EICMA.
