Arch Motorcycles’ second model, the 1S, is now available for pre-order. The sister model of the KRGT-1 focuses more on sportiness.
The new Arch 1S was already exhibited as a prototype at EICMA in 2017 and is now going on sale. The steel frame with aluminum plates and also the single-sided swingarm have made it into series production. The swingarm is made of billet aluminum and is equipped with titanium axle adjusters. The frame of the KRGT-1 has been modified, resulting in a higher seating position. Together with the centrally mounted footpegs and the flat handlebars, the result is a much sportier riding position.
Damping is with components from Öhlins, which are fully adjustable. Braking is at the front via two 6-piston monoblocks from ISR. The ABS comes from Bosch. The 17-inch carbon rims come from BST and were covered with Michelin Power RS. Sizes chosen are 120/70 ZR17 front and 240/45 ZR17 rear. The tank/airbox combo was also made of carbon.
The 2,032cc S&S Cycle V-twin engine produces 124 hp and 156 Nm. The new Arch 1S tips the scales at 255 kg. In terms of price, it is priced at 128,000 US dollars.
