The official trailer for “Bikers Vs. Werewolves” was released on YouTube at the end of September 2026. The clip runs for one minute and 42 seconds and offers a first longer look at the film. It is an independent production without a major studio behind it. The film is described as an over-the-top low-budget horror movie that deliberately takes its cues from classic B-movies. Shooting wrapped more than two years ago, and the project has been in post-production ever since.

What is Bikers Vs. Werewolves about?
On their way to Sturgis, a biker gang stops in a forgotten small town and runs into a rival gang that turns into werewolves. The official synopsis reads: “As bikers roll into a forgotten town during their journey to Sturgis, a night of respite takes a sinister turn when a rival gang transforms into werewolves, unleashing chaos and terror on the unsuspecting townsfolk.”
The trailer reveals a few additional details. The gang heading to Sturgis is apparently called the Grim Reapers. They still have three and a half hours of riding ahead of them, but the group decides to spend a night in town. Later in the trailer, there is talk of eight Grim Reapers left and trapped in the small town. The werewolves belong to a biker gang called the Demons. At its core, the story pits two groups against each other: a classic one-percenter motorcycle club and a gang of werewolf bikers.
Which motorcycles can be seen in the film?
In the trailer, the bikers mainly ride machines from Harley-Davidson and Indian. Both fully faired tourers, known as full-dressers, and low-slung lowriders with ape-hanger handlebars can be seen. These are handlebars that rise high, so the rider’s hands sit roughly at shoulder height or above.
Fitting the theme, all the bikers wear cuts, the typical vests bearing their club’s patches. The cuts don’t look entirely uniform, though. It also remains unclear what happens to the cut and clothing when a biker turns into a werewolf. Only the finished film is likely to answer that question.

Who stars in Bikers Vs. Werewolves?
The leading roles are played by Jake Busey, Michael Paré, Robert LaSardo, Glenn Plummer and James Duval. The film database IMDb lists a total of 92 cast members for the film.
Jake Busey appears as Sheriff Ray. He is known for “Starship Troopers” and “Stranger Things”, among others. Michael Paré plays the character TC and became known for films such as “Streets of Fire” and “Eddie and the Cruisers”. Robert LaSardo takes on the role of Christos and has previously appeared in “The Mule” and “Death Race”. Glenn Plummer plays Moreno; his earlier roles include “Strange Days” and “The Day After Tomorrow”. Finally, James Duval portrays Miguel and is known from “Donnie Darko” and “Independence Day”.
Who is behind the film?
Michael Su directs, while the screenplay was written by Adam Werth as well as Michael and Sonny Mahal. Su has mainly made horror films and so-called mockbusters so far. These are cheaply produced films that borrow from well-known box office hits. He has also worked as a cinematographer on productions with larger budgets.
The film was produced by Mahal Empire, the company of brothers Michael and Sonny Mahal. The two have already financed a whole series of films through crowdfunding, including “Cursed Waters”, “Alien Storm”, “Bloodthirst”, “Night of the Tommyknockers”, “Arena Wars” and “Death Count”. Robert LaSardo and Glenn Plummer have already appeared in earlier films by the Mahal brothers. The soundtrack of “Bikers Vs. Werewolves” is set to include the song “Wrong Side of the Tracks” by Lisa and Mike Giordano.

How was Bikers Vs. Werewolves financed?
The film was financed via the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. In total, more than 158 backers are said to have contributed around 220,000 US dollars (approx. 196,000 euros) to the project.
According to the campaign page, filming ended in February 2024. A ten-day campaign followed to raise money for editing and post-production. This campaign brought in 38,560 US dollars (approx. 34,350 euros) from 53 backers. The makers had set an additional stretch goal of 40,000 US dollars (approx. 35,630 euros). A first teaser was released in March 2024. According to IMDb, the film is still in post-production.
Bikers and werewolves: a motif with film history
The idea isn’t entirely new. Biker films and horror were already combined back in the 1970s. An early example is “Werewolves on Wheels” from 1971, directed by Michel Levesque. It was produced by Paul Lewis, who had previously produced “Easy Rider”.
In that film, a biker gang called the Devil’s Advocates travels across the country and encounters a group of Satanists. Afterwards, it becomes clear that one of the gang has turned into a werewolf. The werewolf itself only appears after more than 70 of the film’s 85 minutes. Only six cast members were real actors; the rest were stunt performers or actual bikers. Around the same time, “Psychomania” from 1973 also took up the theme of a supernatural biker gang. “Bikers Vs. Werewolves” thus joins a long tradition of motorcycle and biker films.

When will Bikers Vs. Werewolves be released in Germany?
There is no release date for Germany. So far, only a release in the USA has been announced, and even that has no exact date yet.
The trailer simply lists the release date as “TBD 2026/2027”, meaning it is still open within 2026 or 2027. Whether the film will be released in cinemas, on TV or on a streaming service is also not yet known. Earlier Mahal Empire films have in some cases been distributed worldwide, such as “Bloodthirst” via Lionsgate. Whether the same will happen with “Bikers Vs. Werewolves” remains to be seen.
