Caricasulo joins the WSBK, Cortese loses his place

The GRT Yamaha team has now confirmed the driver pairing for the 2020 season. Sandro Cortese has to leave the team.

Caricasulo joins the WSBK, Cortese loses his place

The title candidate in the Supersport class, Frederico Caricasuli, will move to WSBK in 2020. Next to him is the American Garrett Gerloff will race for GRT Yamaha.

In 2016 and 2017 Gerloff drove in the Supersport class of MotoAmerica and changed there in 2018 to the Superbikes. The 24-year-old Yamaha factory rider finished third in the US Championship this season.

Caricasulo drove already in 2017 and 2018 for GRT Yamaha in the Supersport World Championship. At the moment he is still working on becoming World Supersport Champion and want to change the class as a champion.
