Norton announces the most luxurious British superbike ever. After the takeover by TVS in 2020, Norton wants to release a new supersport model with the V4SV. The Manx and Carbon color options already promise a lot.
Basically, the V4SV is a new edition of the V4SS, which recently gained sad notoriety because of the many and especially serious flaws.
The liquid-cooled 72-degree V4 engine with 1,200 cc is said to offer a power output of 188 PS at 12,500 rpm and 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. It has been transplanted into an aluminum tubular frame that has been TIG welded and polished by hand to achieve the special high-gloss finish.
Carbon is used for the fairing, and the tank is also said to be made of the high-strength and very lightweight material. For the damping components, the NIX30 USD fork and the TTXGP shock absorber are from Öhlins.
The dry weight is stated at 193 kg, the seat height at 835 mm, the wheelbase at 1,434 mm. A 6-axis IMU provides the cornering ABS and cornering traction control with the necessary data. Three riding modes are said to be integrated. The settings can be made via the 6-inch color display. In addition, a quickshifter and adjustable engine mapping are also offered.
