- Navigation can now be started directly on the Moto II without opening the app
- New Relaxed Routing mode complements the existing Fast and Fun profiles
- Live traffic data and speed camera alerts for Beeline Plus subscribers
Beeline has continuously improved its Moto II through software updates since the device launched in spring 2024. With the so-called Open Road Season 2026 package, the British manufacturer is now delivering its most comprehensive update yet. According to Beeline, the focus is on reducing friction points across the entire user experience, from route planning at the desk to spontaneous adjustments on the road.

Navigate Directly from the Device
The most notable new feature concerns the navigation start itself. Previously, the Beeline app on the smartphone had to be opened to send a route to the Moto II. That is no longer necessary. Saved routes and favorites from the Beeline profile can now be selected and started directly via the device on the handlebars. Especially in situations where speed matters, such as during a quick fuel stop or a spontaneous route change, this should make a noticeable difference. The smartphone can stay in a jacket pocket or tank bag while the Bluetooth connection between phone and Moto II continues running in the background.
Relaxed Routing: A Third Mode for Laid-Back Riding
In addition to the existing routing profiles Fast and Fun, Beeline is introducing Relaxed Routing as a third option. The new mode is designed to favor quieter roads with less traffic and lower speeds. Technically demanding road sections are avoided where possible. According to Beeline, the profile is aimed at beginners, returning riders, or anyone who simply prefers a relaxed tour.
Smart Routing with all three profiles is available in a number of countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. In regions without Smart Routing coverage, Beeline falls back on the standard provider Mapbox, which then delivers two route suggestions.

More Precise Arrival Times Through Algorithm Optimization
Beeline has also refined its routing algorithm. Estimated arrival times should now be more accurate, as actual riding behavior is factored into the calculation more realistically. The manufacturer does not provide details on the technical implementation but reports reduced deviations between predicted and actual travel times.
Live Traffic Data and Speed Camera Alerts for Beeline Plus Users
Two of the new features are reserved for the paid Beeline Plus subscription, which costs 4.49 euros per month or 44.99 euros per year. First, a new map layer displays live traffic data with real-time information on traffic volume and delays. The feature is intended to assist with route selection in both urban traffic and on longer journeys.
Second, there are new settings for alerts regarding stationary speed monitoring. These are configured by default to comply with the respective local legal requirements. Users can customize the settings individually. Beeline explicitly notes that applicable traffic regulations must always be observed.

Revamped Online Route Planner
Beeline’s browser-based route planner has also been revamped. The most significant new feature is a drag-and-drop function that allows planned routes to be adjusted by simply dragging. Waypoints can be added or moved more quickly without having to delete and recreate individual route sections. This should be particularly interesting for riders who prefer to plan their tours on a desktop computer.
The Moto II at a Glance: Variants and Pricing
The Beeline Moto II is currently available in five housing variants. The plastic version in black starts at 199.99 euros (approximately 236 US dollars), while the Metal Editions in Gunmetal Grey and Silver cost 229.99 euros each (approximately 271 US dollars). Since March 2026, the Classic Edition at 249.99 euros (approximately 295 US dollars) with a polished stainless steel bezel and the Anniversary Edition limited to 2,500 units at 299.99 euros (approximately 354 US dollars) have been added to the lineup. Buyers of the Anniversary Edition receive one year of Beeline Plus worth 45 euros at no extra charge.
Technically, all five variants are identical: a 1.45-inch color display with double the resolution compared to its predecessor, IP67 certification against water and dust, up to 14 hours of battery life via the 600 mAh lithium-polymer battery, and USB-C charging, even while riding via an optional power mount. The device measures 53 millimeters in diameter with a height of 21.5 millimeters and weighs between 40 grams (plastic) and 63 grams (metal) depending on the housing. Operation requires a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone running the Beeline app.
All features of the spring update are available now through the current version of the Beeline app on the App Store and Google Play. Shipping within Germany is handled from a German warehouse, and deliveries to the EU and the United Kingdom are duty-free.
