Ducati recalls Superbikes

In North America Ducati calls several Superbike models in the workshops. Affected are the model years 2014-2018 of the 1199 Superleggera, 1299 Superleggera, Panigale R and Panigale R Final Edition.

Reason for the recall: The pressure in the engine crankcase may cause engine oil to be forced into the airbox and cause oil to escape through the airbox’s hose. This could cause the oil get on the rear tire.

Ducati North America informs the affected owners and installs a blow-by-valve kit. The callback is registered with Ducati under SRV-RCL-19-002.

Experience has shown that the problem is not limited to the US market, but there are no official informations yet.
