Triumph is revising the Street Triple for 2023 and adding a limited-edition Moto2 edition of only 765 pieces to the model line.  In addition to increased power, the electronics have also been revised.

Revised engine with more power

In the future, the Street Triple series will only use the 765cc three-cylinder, which was revised with the knowledge gained from Moto2.  The engine received a new cylinder head, the combustion chambers were revised, connecting rods and pistons now provide higher compression and modified camshafts provide increased valve lift.  This made it possible to achieve a torque of 80 Nm at 9,500 rpm.  This applies to the engines of all three new models, but there are differences in the maximum horsepower.

The Street Triple R has a maximum output of 120 hp at 11,500 rpm.  The RS and the Moto2 edition get 130 hp at 12,000 rpm.

Electronics

The 2023 models will now be equipped with an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit).  The ABS, traction control and wheelie control now operate based on lean angle.  The systems are adapted for the different riding modes.  Four modes are available, with the RS and Moto2 offering an additional mode for free configuration. Traction control can also be completely deactivated.

For clutchless upshifting and downshifting, the models are equipped with quickshifters including a blipper function.

The TFT display has a diagonal of 5 inches and can be coupled with the mobile phone, which also allows arrow navigation to be shown via the display.

Geometry and chassis

The geometry got a minor makeover for the new models.  The wheelbase of the R has been shortened from 1,405 to 1,402 mm.  The wheelbase is even shorter on the RS and Moto2 Edition, 1,399 and 1,397 mm respectively are specified here.

The Street Triple R gets an adjustable 41 mm Big Piston fork from Showa, the suspension travel is 115 mm.  The Showa rear shock has a travel of 133.5 mm.  On the RS and Moto2 Edition, an Öhlins STX-40 shock is installed, which shortens the travel to 131.5 mm.  The Öhlins NIX-30 fork is reserved for the Moto2 Edition.

Braking on the R is done with Brembo M4.32 calipers and 310 mm front brake discs.  The RS and Moto2 Edition get Stylema calipers and an adjustable MCS hand pump.

Common to the three models are the cast rims in the dimensions 120/70 ZR 17 front and 180/55 ZR 17 rear.

Optics revised

The tank has been revised and given a slightly more angular design.  The volume has been shrunk by 2.4 to 15 liters. Visually, it has been complemented with new side panels.

Silver Ice with Storm Grey or Crystal White with Storm Grey are the color options for the Street Triple R 2023, while Silver Ice with Baja Orange, Carnival Red with Carbon Black and Cosmic Yellow with Carbon Black are available for the RS.  The Moto2 Edition is offered in Racing Yellow or Crystal White.

Availability and price

From March 2023, the Street Triple RS will be available at dealers at a price starting at €12,296. The R will follow in April with a price starting at €10,195. The limited Moto2 Edition will cost €14,995 and follows in June 2023.
