Currently rumors are increasing that Kawasaki is working on a Z250, which is powered by a 250cc 4-cylinder. A suitable engine would have they already in the offer, one could fall back to the aggregate of the ZX-25R.
On the Asian market, 250cc models are widespread. However, they are usually powered by 2-cylinder engines. A Z250 with parallel twin is also currently on the market there.
Since the emission regulations in Asia are not as strict as in Europe, Kawa could also install the four-cylinder of the ZX-25R in the naked bike and thus possibly create a Z250R. At the moment, however, all this must still be regarded as pure rumor.
