Recall (2)

Two official KBA recalls: (1) KBA 14980R (published 08 May 2025): A manufacturing defect in the steering damper can cause stiff steering. Production period 20 Sep 2024–22 Jan 2025; affects the M 1000 R and M 1000 XR per KBA (903 vehicles worldwide, 204 in Germany). Remedy: replacement of the steering damper. (2) KBA 16195R (published 02/2026): The left combination switch was not manufactured to specification; a double signal can deactivate the turn signal immediately after activation. Production period 09 Jan 2026–16 Feb 2026. Remedy: replacement of the left combination switch. Note: the sometimes-cited oil filter recall KBA 14535R does NOT list the M 1000 XR on the official KBA model list and was therefore not applied.
